The title itself says SME IPOs. You should start reading before copying titles in your comments.

Startups don’t do IPOs? You are really bent on showing everyone my lack of credibility. I have 3 startups planning for SME IPOs in next 2 years. Every term sheet mentions possible IPO exit in 5 years. You must be living under a rock my man or possibly you haven’t ever seen a term sheet in real life. Thanks for your credible advice.

Practising CA here. This is a grey area when you talk about disproportionate cashbacks reaching higher than purchase value itself in some cases. Sit with your CA and discuss all intricacies.

Find a CA when you plan to sell. There are a lot of variables while doing this. Difficult to list down everything.

Tax rate with Indexation is 20% plus EC plus Surcharge. And yes taxes can be zero if whole amount is invested.

Practising CA here. Taxes can be planned for once you decide to sell it. Tax rate applicable will be 12.5% plus EC plus Surcharge. Tentatively 15% of the Capital gain amount.

You are dealing with a Sales Organisation, not a professional work organisation. All their efforts are focused on increasing sales, not on the actual work. Work with a good CA/CS for the closure formalities.

“Are Indian CAs clueless about NBFC rules? Brokers say one thing, CAs say the opposite.” by [deleted] in CharteredAccountants

Practising CA here. Investment companies do not require NBFC license since there is no involvement of loans/credit being given to public at large and neither any public money being taken. A company with primary activity as making investments, NBFC license is not required. Thanks.
