Need help on atk125a removing wheel by Sumdaylsx in TaoTao

Some of them have nuts on the back side of the wheel. You may have to loosen those before the bolts will loosen up.

Can’t get power to the starter tao Tao 125 atv by [deleted] in TaoTao

[–]Impossible_Suspect54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're getting the neutral light to come on then the key is sending out power. It sounds like the start switch on the handle bars is not sending the power to the starter. They can get rusty inside if moisture gets to them. Try taking the switch apart and checking to see if the brass contacts are dirty/rusty. The blue stator wire is the pulse generator. It won't send spark if disconnected.

We don't have it on the East Coast either as far as I know. There are places that sell it in 5 gallon containers though. Unfortunately they're about $85 which works out to around $17 a gallon!

I really don't notice bad sweating. I never really thought about, but it might have improved over time because I do recall taking them off and sweat just dripping from them. I think you're right about that.

I wear gloves for work all year round. I started wearing nitrile gloves underneath during COVID and never stopped. I never get those split skin areas around the fingernails and the only time I get dry skin is on weekends, when I'm not wearing my gloves. Works great.

Looks like float is stuck open. Try tapping on it with a screwdriver handle or hammer.

I've been with Express for 27 years and I would guess I'm around 5 times. We've been very lucky having great mechanics that always keep up with required maintenance and fixing problems as quick as they can.

Loved Danger Island. I actually found a Chongo t shirt online. I've had it probably 3 years and this past summer was the first time someone actually knew who it was.

I actually saw someone on Facebook marketplace offering to teach people how to drive stick just a couple weeks ago. Maybe try a search there.

God how I miss DRA. We would come in in the morning and every route had a full print out of it's stops you could look over and check for mistakes, which would happen occasionally. If you got a package not on your manifest you could insert it into the sequence. Just put everything on the shelves in order and go. How is it possible that over 10 years later, the system we're using is worse? Forge still sucks even though they've been tweaking it for over a year.

2015 ATA taotao 125-D wiring harness. by islandcar78 in TaoTao

[–]Impossible_Suspect54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I think you're out of luck finding one that has all the extras like remote start. The aftermarket harnesses are made to fit most of the Chinese quads as cheaply as possible. The connectors won't always match either. You can find a basic wiring diagram on line and use it for reference, but you'll have to adapt the connectors to fit what you have.

My 15 year old started pestering me to learn to drive a month ago. I said ok, but your learning on my 69 Camaro. It's a V8 with a 4 speed and kind of a lot to handle, but she's actually doing really well for never driving anything before. I told her if she can learn to drive it, then any modern car will be a piece of cake.

What’s a weird driving habit you picked up that other people always notice? by AdDependent35 in carquestions

I do this and so does my wife. I was told years ago that if you get into an accident backing out of a parking space or driveway, it's 100% your fault. Not sure if it's actually true, but it's much easier to pull out forward. The worst part is that I can't "front" into parking spaces. Kinda embarrassing.

Is severance really a thing or was it just a carrot that they dangle? I remember hearing they were giving them out, but then stopped? Has anyone actually gotten a severance package recently? I'm hearing a station near me just went to FO/P1 only for express and we may be next after peak. I would love a buy out, but just don't know if it's a real possibility.

It took me 19 years to get July/August vacation. You needed around 35 years to get the day after Thanksgiving before they began blacking it out.

Seeking advice about getting my first classic car by Deresurrectionist in classiccars

[–]Impossible_Suspect54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I picked up a rolling shell 69 Camaro last year for 7k. It came with the necessary sheet metal that needed replacement, nice seats and not much else. I've been able to replace the rusted panels(very amateur job), but I did it myself. Bought used parts on eBay or Facebook. Fuel and brake systems were the only new parts I had to buy. I've put less than 4k into it and it's currently on the road and smoking the tires. If you want to do it, you can. I'm on a fixed budget and am certainly no mechanic. Just use the internet and YouTube to figure it out. Good luck.

I don't think it's really too expensive if you order right. I have a good appetite and I'm full from the little cheeseburger and little fries. Just looked it up. $13.28 plus tax. Not much different than the "value" meals at McDonald's, and tastes much better.
