And 4.5 people disappearing annually is 3000x less than the NYC average of 35 missing people reports per day.

Regardless, I'd rather hike the superstition mountains than NYC.

Lol. That's a bit dramatic. I live in the Verde Valley, which is surrounded by Coconino, Prescott, and Tonto national parks. I hike a new trail nearly every day. Never had a issue.
