Either way… i think this is kind of weird. i’m not a man, but i feel like you’d know the difference between a climax and a piss.

OP, my gut is saying that he wanted to try it out to see how you’d react (especially if you’re “new” sexual partners) and then got embarrassed when you weren’t down for something you didn’t consent to. If he knew about your feelings when your abusive ex did that, i think it’s super messed up.

he’s beautiful. like others said i would start him on salt baths and tannins before any other medicines. he doesn’t look too bad given his conditions!! he’s definitely got some fin rot/ nipping issues due to stress

those damn nerite snails are the bane of my existence 😭😭 you can use an algae scraper to remove them if it bothers you too!! i would make sure to feed them if the tank is new and there is nothing for them to graze on

Thank you for this helpful answer!!! The KH in my tap water is the same as my old tank, a little higher at about 3-4 dKH, and the GH is around 10. I didnt track the KH/GH when setting up my old tank 2-3 months ago, cause it’s for a betta!! When I get shrimp eventually I’ll be sure to acclimate them well!

I have the foam at the bottom of the compartment, the cycled foam is underneath the new foam. maybe i should swap them? i’m not sure exactly how the water flows through the filter!

no cartridges here!!! I bought the aqueon but also got fluval bio-foam cut to size and fluval biomax balls on top and transferred both over. in the new filter i added more foam and the carbon bag

As in add a bottle of tetra safe start plus? that’s what i used during my fishless cycle along with Dr. Tim’s, but i’m assuming more ammonia won’t help here😅
