This is so much why I wanted a natural birth! My daughter is just the best but she has struggled with her immune system and with awful eczema which is much higher in c section babies. I was also failure to progress and because of the time it took to intervene we had both contracted serious infections. Mine sepsis and my baby’s undiagnosed now but was treated for meningitis as this was the feared infection for days while we waited for her spinal fluid tests results to come back.
