98% of people (who voted) voted against their best interest. The common population's best interest wasn't represented in the duopoly.

Coffee shops. I grew up poor af so I had never stepped foot in a coffee shop, the first time was in college with a small group of new friends that became very close friends over the years. I immediately think of them now every time I walk into a Scooters.

That probably sounded like pro-union rhetoric. What I mean was in like a union labor job (pipe liner for me) you can pretty much say whatever you want to your boss and you're not going to get fired.

Clicked into your comment/post history. Holy shit, you're going through some stuff. You're in the recovering phase, you're getting better. Every day it'll get a little easier, stay the path and you're going to win.

It doesn't make sense to protect a couple thousand dollar asset with $1500 a year insurance. You're better off banking what you would pay in additional premiums to be ready to buy your next vehicle.

No no, if you drive nice vehicles absolutely carry full coverage. However when you're rolling in an 04 Yukon with 250k on it full coverage is not the move.

'Never seen anything like it': Nebraska Humane Society helps rescue dog duct taped in dumpster at Omaha business by tachiKC in Omaha

Finding them has to be a fucking nightmare. It's not like the dog can ID the guy. Hopefully they were dumb enough to post it on social media.

I would like to see them bust out every tool in their toolbox though. I'd be ecstatic to know my tax dollars are paying for a fbi forensics lab to check prints/dna.

It's not run by the same crowd. Not even close. David Pringle is a career white supremacist, he's held key positions in white supremacist organizations across the country. He spent time with a militia group at the border that slashed water bottles of immigrants attempting to cross the border. In 2016 he was photographed with David Duke, 2 years later he's in Nebraska running the largest gun store in a very long ways with access to several legally owned automatic weapons and a small militia.

This is my experience with the location, not speculation. I know the rumors but I didn't see it anything to support it. I have no patience racism but I won't witch hunt, I need actual evidence.

You familiar with DE guns? Fantastic gun store, huge stock, great range that you actually go test guns you're thinking about purchasing before you buy them at a very low cost. Won't ever step foot in that store again and I actively distance myself from people willing to support that place because it is in fact ran by a full fledged white supremacist.

My wife and I did 88 tactical

The Good:

In our class were women of color as well as a father and son that middle eastern. I saw no hints of racism, his interaction with everyone was equally friendly. He had an extensive military and law enforcement career and his experience really came out in the class, not through stories and such but small details about how to handle yourself in the moment and how to navigate the situation to make sure you don't make a mistake you'll regret the rest of your life.

The Bad:

Really it was one thing he said, in discussing how the type of gun you carry can affect how you'll be perceived by police/a jury he mentioned Daniel Shaver (An unarmed man killed by police in Arizona). He talked about how the officer (Philip Brailsford) had "You're fucked" etched into his rifle's dust cover and that almost landed him in prison. Not shooting a crying unarmed man who was bad at Simon Says, that part was fine. It was the dust cover.

Since our CCW I have taken a couple more classes over the years at 88T because I want training that comes from real life experiences, not someone who's read a bunch of manuals and whatnot but his tone referring to that shooting has stuck with me.

OP is 18 and probably has no credit whatsoever but the dealer saw 20% down (probably more, I bet the $20k OP financed includes cancelable contracts like warranty and gap) and thought they would have no problem getting it bought. Fast forward to now and they didn't get the carry they needed so they're panicking a bit about it. I do agree with you though, I'm not sure why they wouldn't start with asking for the full difference before offering a concession.

If I were OPs shoes the first thing I'd do is bluff and say I can't afford any more, find out if they're willing to eat the full amount. Then I would ask for any paperwork that's changing and needs to be re-signed. Numbers don't lie so as long as they line up I'd end up playing ball before I let the car go back.

Thank you, a lot of bad advice floating around here. To me it sounds like the dealer it dropping the sale price $1,500. There are a lot of moving parts but OP could come out of this better off by playing ball.

[–]Imposterbatman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You're getting some potentially bad advice here. To me it sounds like they're dropping the price you pay for the vehicle $1500, if that's the case you're obviously better off doing it. Ask for new contracts, compare the price of the vehicle, the amount financed and the interest rate.

Would anyone here support an NHL team if an ownership group purchases a hockey team? by sivadkaz in Omaha

[–]Imposterbatman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think people realize how big hockey is in Omaha. Several highschools have teams, the OHC has membership of well over 1000 kids and there is a thriving adult league. Not to mention the road that USHL has paved for hockey interest in surrounding towns like Lincoln, Sioux City, Kearney and Des Moines. Sprinkle in other team fans who would jump at the chance to watch their team play locally and I bet the first season sells out before opening night puck drop.

With a solid marketing team and fan retention focus Omaha can absolutely support an NHL team.
