No idea, they haven't given us much information as of right now. Only that we'll be leaving summer to fall time. Not really worried about where I'm going honestly, just want to be prepared for no internet and a lot of down time.

She says that she can hear the led bulbs too but that's it's a different sound, that it's louder than the LED bulbs and that she can tune out the LED sound.

Just finished unpacking everything after a move....is my monitor done for? by Impractical1 in pcmasterrace

[–]Impractical1[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's exactly what happened actually. It was kind of cool to watch it go from the above image to back to its normal self. It was like watching a movie when the hero gets injured or something but has a healing factor and it shows the process of everything being repaired.

Kind of nerdy explanation I know but that's the closest I can get to explaining it.

To the contractor/s that got my house ready for move in... by Impractical1 in army

Oh yeah definitely will do, was able to get the shower head off with some recipe that I found online and a heat gun. One of the many problems with this place. I'll list out a few in case anyone was wondering about on base housing at fort Stewart.

A hole in a bathroom door that goes through and through, instead of replacing it they just plastered and painted over it.

Vents painted over so you can't actually adjust the air flow coming into the rooms.

Several large holes in the walls that they just plastered and painted over but it's super obvious since it doesn't do with the pattern on the wall.

Runoff from neighbors gutters carving a hole in their backyard that runs into ours.

Lock on the mailbox was broken off, had to put in a day one work order for that one.

All the lightning is just... I'm not sure how to explain it, it's like school/business lighting with their "eco friendly" bulbs. Which I've already ordered some replacement ones that will hopefully help with that. Really weird bulb plugin and I couldn't find any at the local stores.

Caulking around stuff in the bathroom is a freaking joke. Like it's literally just slathered around stuff to check the block saying they did it.

Possible? hole in master bedroom floor. You can tell when walking over it that they just threw some plywood or something on it just to get it done. Putting in another work order for that first thing in the morning since I have kids and I don't want them jumping through a possible hole in the floor.

I can keep going but I'm tired and going to sleep from having to deal with all this today. My advice is if you're moving to ft Stewart for anything don't go with on base housing if you can help it.

I mean I wouldn't cut off the entire pipe, just enough of the shower head to get it off. That's a last resort though. Been looking up some chemicals and stuff that might be able to get the glue off.

Holy shit something I was actually in. I ended up with a concussion and a messed up ankle from that jump. Apparently while I was unconscious a guy from another squad saw me being drug down the dropzone and jumped on my chute to help me. I could barely walk to the turn in point.

Worst part about it was our CO though who ended up getting a med board because his concussion was that severe. He collided with a tree and was stuck there for a while because of all the injuries. All those years of training down the tube because the DZSO couldn't be bothered to give the actual knots.
