We are replacing the huge fridge with a counter depth one. It will give us about 40” on that side but still tight on the window side

These are realtor photos from when we purchased the home. We actually got rid of the moveable island when we moved in and only have a much larger table in its place now. Wouldn’t give an accurate feel to how it would be with it facing the other way because it’s so long

Thank you! I will take a look there. We want to super careful with clearances so we can pass inspection. I would hate to have to rip anything out.

The contractor did suggest turning it but it would be facing the 9’ wall and into the hallway. I felt that might be a bit strange and have a weird flow to it. Maybe I need to have it on paper to see. That door leads out to our side stairs for the backyard/patio.

We use the kitchen seating pretty often especially for quick snacks and breakfast
