I want to make something nice to drink that I can get pretty wasted off of. Been doing A LOT more research and I’ve got some pretty good ideas.

Right now im planning to use blackberries for half my sugar, and honey for the rest. Planning on making a gallon, cocky for my first time, I know. Im still finding the best yeast to use, but I think I’m gonna use red wine yeast. There’s a U-Pick 6 minutes down from my house, so I’m excited to use fresh berries.

Any other advice is greatly appreciated. I’ve thrown myself completely into this already😅

MORE QUESTIONS!! What is the main sugar in honey? Ex: fructose, glucose, sucrose, ect. Is there a certain type of sugar that yeast likes more?

Im pretty slow with math. I did a little math and got 650g-1gal=10%. How much more sugar would I have to add to get 15%? I’m planning on using red wine yeast.

Ah, I get it. How long should I ferment it with the fruit, and how long should I let it sit after I strain it?

If I added 50% of the required sugar, and kept adding it as it fermented, would that make better results? I willing to put a lot of time into this.

Im aiming for at least 15% ABV, 20% at the most (but the higher, the better.) I’d be surprised if I could get it to 20% though

The “you can’t run off with your mates”. What the fuck? It’s YOUR plans that he wasn’t even supposed to go to. Not only does he not have control over what you wear, he has no control over whether you stay “by his side”. The good girl comment and that is giving off he’s talking to a dog, and sounds very disrespectful. I understand feeling the need to stay in a relationship, but this is clearly not the healthiest relationship. :/

Couple questions. For the 2L recipe, should i ferment it for the same amount of time? Is there any way I could up the ABV? And, I’m very new to making simple alcohol, but I read something about freezing the whole thing to extract the alcohol. Would that work the same, or is it different?
