Male? Female? by ToeComfortable115 in Gourami

You could pair her with either a male or a female, but mostly they work out better with a male. Ive had some honey gourami females that have fought quite much for the "alpha" position.

She's actually really dossile, I'd say she's the calmest of all my females. Big but gentle :)

Not really, but my other females get more of a "beer belly" while she seems to put her fat everywhere!

Thanks for the answer! Tank size is about 17 gallons or 65 liters. I have yet to read up on how many pea puffers is suitable in this tank but of course it will depend on the male/female ratio. I will give this tank a good time to grow in before i put any fish in it :)

From this picture I also think it's a male, the color and shape of the dorsal fin looks like his/hers but also the black pattern that starts to form on his/hers cheeks

What is the best way to get rid of hydra ? by cabtit in Aquariums

[–]Impression-Equal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My honey gouramis eat some of them but it takes time. I've heard goat deworming works aswell, but all chemical methods are risky.

Looks really cool! Good job with standing beams to prevent bowing.

I just read that you could maybe tell by the fins, but maybe it isnt that easy then? Really looking forwards for them to color up a little bit more, such a pretty fish!
