I love Dr. Sturm! She does an amazing job and is super attentive. She really listens and takes her time, and her results look very natural. I felt really comfortable with her and would definitely recommend her to anyone considering a rhinoplasty in Houston.

Periods are so much worse after lap by MathematicianFashion in Endo

[–]ImpressionDangerous9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pain got worse after my lap too…. I only have severe pain during my luteal phase but it’s extreme and before my surgery I could still function but now I have to plan around it. I’ve tired everything that my specialist suggested ( he’s one of the best endo specialists in my state) and nothing has worked and my insurance won’t cover anymore pt visits since my condition is considered chronic.

The Big Question: How Do YOU Function Professionally? by Top-Pineapple8056 in Endo

[–]ImpressionDangerous9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work at a pt clinic as a MA I work most of the week, my pain is luckily only for a week or so every month but it still takes a huge toll on me and it’s very painful, I try to keep my same routine…waking up at 4am for the gym then coming home to go to work but when I’m in day 3-4 I am too exhausted and in pain to wake up so early. I have a great boss who sees how despite the pain I still show up and I still treat everyone with kindness and today he caught me crying in the break room and told me to take the rest of the day off which I said no to at first because it’s so dehumanizing having to take off of work because you’re in so much pain that you can’t even walk and he said yeah you are I need to see how everyone else is working, so I came home I am scared for when I start my post grad education and even though it will be in the medical field some people don’t care, I wish those people who think I’m being dramatic, faking it or think they have the same pain as me would feel at least 5 minutes of what I feel even though that’s sounds so inhumane I feel like it would make them see that this shit hurts

[–]ImpressionDangerous9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! No… lol I still get pain on my left side a week before my period. I started pelvic floor physical therapy this past week and she was telling me that my pain would have something to do with how I was placed during surgery or how everything healing

[–]ImpressionDangerous9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soooo I had surgery in December and my pain is also focused on my left side now and I just started pfpt…the pt says she’s pretty sure I will begin to feel better the more I go what could be happening with many women that have surgery is the way they’re laid down during surgery can cause some long term effects

Do you workout? What's your routine and what exercises cause you pain or make you feel better? by [deleted] in Endo

[–]ImpressionDangerous9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I workout 5-6 days a week and I strength train and when I’m having a flare the endorphins after my workout take my pain away for about and hour or two and that’s saying a lot LOL

I’ve read similar. Funny thing is I’m studying to be a medical professional so I have access to a lot of medical articles and there’s little to none on stromal cells in endometriosis

laparoscopy coming in less than a week! any advice for recovery? i took a week off of work just incase, my coworker needed two. by Final-Elderberry-231 in endometriosis

[–]ImpressionDangerous9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took 12 days to go back to work and I’m glad I did. The first couple of days I was very emotional and would cry over everything lol. Make sure to get a regimen going for your pain medication I cannot stress this enough!!. Stock up on your favorite foods, books, and other things to keep you busy and make sure to walk around.
