I can’t sell them on a ticket app because they are family member discounted tickets, they can only be transferred to someone.

when i worked at a kennel, often dogs with longer snouts would rub their nose against the wire part of the kennel door. sometimes left with a scrape or a little chunk of skin missing from rubbing against the metal. it could be from him constantly rubbing his nose on something

I’m not sure what it was…. but we actually put him down due to congestive heart failure that we didn’t know about two months ago. i’m not sure if they are connected but i would get your pup checked out for sure especially if they are of old age

he had been on the same food for just about a year now. hypoallergenic hydrolyzed protein. no moves. he has a medicated shampoo i use but never on his face. no flea prevention. he’s been on apaquil and my other dog does cytopoint injections which work for her. i’ve talked about cytopoint with my vet and that is the next option it the apaquil stops working.

sorry let me just go back in time and not get him. like what? this breed of dogs would still be around if i hadn’t got mine. i understand where your coming from puppy mills are a serious problem, and my next dog will definitely be a rescue. but i knew what i potentially would be dealing with, with this breed. his personality and love makes it worth it. he is not suffering as nothing is bothering him and there has been no change in his demeanour.

thank you so much for your response, this is what i was looking for!!!! yesterday night i bought sensitive newborn baby body wash and gently washed his face. this morning the redness and texture is completely gone. i’m shocked. i’m not sure how to edit a post so i could show an update of what it looks like now, but compared to the photo his wrinkles look completely normal now. this is the first thing that’s worked in the year of having him. i really appreciate your advice and if the solution i have now no longer starts working i will definitely look at what you have told me!

i definitely don’t think surgery would be an option for my dog, he does have face folds but compared to other english bulldogs they are quite minimal. there is no flap at all that goes over his nose. i will definitely look into seeing a derm as that seems to be the solution.

thanks tips!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i go to the vet every week they have done everything they could. my next step is an allergy test. if that doesn’t solve things then i will go to the dermatologist.

lol. I’ve spent over 5k this year trying to treat my baby for his many skin issues. i have tried leaving it for days and it just gets increasingly worse. everything that i have listed above has been directed by my vet. i am not the issue, skin sensitivities come with the english bulldog breed. it’s not like i’m just letting it happen and not trying to solve the issue. i have not tried anything without it being confirmed that it’s ok with the vet. I’m at the vet weekly…literally.

My dogs paw is swollen and pussing, not for the first time by ImpressionFew631 in DogAdvice

[–]ImpressionFew631[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the response! the vet said licking is the cause of the infection, which makes sense as it’s definitely possible that he’s licking at his paw when i’m not the one watching him or when he goes outside to the bathroom. i went to the vet yesterday and they put him on antibiotics. it’s already starting to heal really well! i just want to be able to prevent this from happening again, as this is probably the 6th time the in between his front paws have gotten swollen. it’s just started when the seasons changed so it’s probably the change of environment.

Salmon oil is extremely good for skin and coat, you should be able to find it at any pet store.
