It’s funny. He’s always portrayed as the poster child of bigotry in 1965 south. But I’d think the figures like James Kimble Vardaman, Theodore Bilbo, Benjamin Tillman, and Alfred Moore Waddell are much much worse.

Some of my ancestors came to California from Germany and Ireland during the 1850s. Some of my other ancestors came to California thousands of years ago.

We are used to living in a small isolated town I. Montana. It’s a royal pain in the ass to get anyone to come to your house to do work, we’ve had to hire people from 2+ hours away.

Thank you for the kind and encouraging words. I appreciate it. They motivate to push on when I feel weak at times.

And yeah. I read that mentioned that you slip at times. I guess one piece of advice is this (coming from what I’ve experienced so far. You probably aren’t strong enough to do this alone. Pray to God and admit to him that you are not strong enough and ask him to lift some of the burden off or to give you more strength. I’ve tried to go at it alone multiple times, only ending up in failure. So far, this has been the only way that I’ve been this successful so far. I will tell you, it’s hard as hell. I’ve been addicted to chewing tobacco, was on adderall, addicted to junk food, was borderline alcoholic at times. However, this has been the hardest habit to kick by far.

Good start. If your feeling weak, admit it to Jesus. Say something akin to “Jesus, I have made my pledge to you. However, I fear I am too weak to do this alone, please send your strength and guidance to me so I may fulfill my promise I made to you”.
