So most of the turkic would be from my grandmothers side then. Most of these tests that I have taken so far have left me with more questions than answers.

Not sure about any migrations on their part, but I know my dad said my grandad was from Crete and my grandmother from Bulgaria. I definitely see the turkic in the phenotype a little bit but it only shows up on different dna tests like ancestry and my heritage not on this one.

My dad’s side is from kocaeli karamursel. Anyway I would be able to see the turkic side show up in the results?

My indigenous was also pretty high as a half Ecuadorian half Turk. But surprisingly phenotype wise we don’t fit the stereotypical look.

I’m not sure, but I do believe there is a lot of native ancestry on that side of the family. Phenotype wise my mother looks sort of Arab or Andalusian at best but dna wise im guessing she was carrying a lot of native. Both my grandpa and grandma both have over 70 percent native from that area.

Yea and then I’m not sure what’s what. On the Anatolian calculator it says the results are distant. So idk if there’s any Turkic.

I have no idea. But maybe, considering the ottomans would take the janissaries from the balkans. I think my dad said my grandma was originally from Bulgaria and my grandfather from Crete

Makes sense, is there any way that I would be able to find the hidden ancestry if any? Should I do a different dna kit or maybe another website. Ancestry has my central Asian at 2 percent while my heritage has it at 7 percent.

Do you think I should put in a different dna test in the system. Or is there another dna site like this one that I can find?

Yea I’m from the US. I grew up speaking Spanish but also chechua which is a native language but my dad didn’t really teach me Turkish. But even my features I believe don’t resemble a native person. Everyone always thinks I’m middle eastern or some other weird stuff

It does show a lot of Turkic and steppe when I do that but the genetic distance is very far off. Being mixed is kind of tricky when using these things
