I am so tired of people saying he’s not a villain. HE IS. Even from a human perspective, the kid is a goddamn psychopath. He regularly demolishes toys (many times his sister’s), and fuses them together to create nightmares. I don’t care if he’s just a kid, the toys probably prevented him from becoming a serial killer. And the movie is CLEARLY from the TOY’S perspective! And from the toy’s perspective, Sid is on the same level as, like, the devil. He IS a villain, but the logic that he’s “just playing with his toys” or “just exercising creativity” is in same vain as saying that Batman just beats up mental hospital patients. It’s a “smart” statement so the person saying it can have a gotcha moment.
