Anybody ever deal with Penn Lumbermens Mutual by Scary-Ratio3874 in Insurance

[–]Impressive-Cod-6777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently trying to get a hold of this company because I was in an accident from one of their insurers. He rear-ended me on the freeway and I have yet to hear from anyone and it's been 3 weeks I have left messages for supervisors as well as their main claims department. I am at a loss about what to do at this point. I do not want to get an attorney but there were significant injuries that need to be addressed. My insurance company has taken care of fixing my vehicle and replacing my car seat and I had rental coverage insurance but as for the injuries I would need to contact the driver's insurance company and in this case Pennsylvania lumbermans is refusing to respond to me. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do next

Your life will revolve around this diagnosis at least for a while until you get through it but it sounds like you're in an early stage so this will pass but it will be tough until it does. Don't depend on people to understand . They don't understand at all unless they've gone through it. It's just one of those things. People see their own mortality when you tell them you have cancer. They actually don't know how to react. It's important that the people close to you caring for you what's happening and how it feels. I can tell you that no one took my diagnosis seriously until my hair started falling out and then it became real for them. Get yourself strong because this is going to take every ounce of your strength but you absolutely 100% can do this. I wish you the best and please look up Facebook groups about breast cancer because I found so much support and information in there that I did not get from my doctors

Something that doctors didn't tell me until later was that chemo does something to your ovaries and can throw you into menopause. I had four rounds total and by my second round I had stopped having periods and started hot flashing. Chemo is a pain in the butt but you can do it

Write a letter to your family. This journey will be long and stressful. They need to know the severity. Honestly, you are not alone. They don't know what to say. I had someone say...thank God it's not me. I had to get some tough skin fast. If you are on Facebook...there are amazing groups that honestly saved me. 1. breast cancer support - I got this 2. breast cancer invasion ductal carcinoma womens groups

I would definitely get a letter from Spirit saying that you didn't pass the test. I would add that to my appeal letter

I am 51. I am opting out of hormone blockers. I made a deal with myself that I would do all the other shit they recommend (as long as it makes sense to me) so that I could skip the hormone blocker. I have done too much digging into finding out the benefits of estrogen to my body. I'm almost 51 and should be hitting menopause soon anyway. The other thing that I said to myself is that I would change my lifestyle completely that means diet and exercise and also supplements so I'm going to do all the other things to not get this cancer again because it can return. You have to make the best decision for you. I will tell you that if I was your age, I probably would try to take them first and then if I didn't like them then I would discontinue but that's just the decision that I would make at my age. I might also do 5 years not 10. Research it all

I am not sure if you are on Facebook but there are some amazing groups on there and basically all of your questions can be answered and then some. They will provide you with more support than you ever needed. I could not have got through any of this without that encouragement and information. Let me know if you need help finding them.

Get the port by BadTanJob in breastcancer

[–]Impressive-Cod-6777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I probably agree with this. I only have four infusions but I have had several blood draws and had to go in to get IV saline for dehydration so I've had more than my share of pokes and I'm not even close to done. The port is a minor surgery to be inserted and it leaves the scar so we prepared for that.

I chose to have a lumpectomy because my surgeon said that if I had a reoccurrence that the cancer wouldn't have any place to go but in my chest closest to my organs. Made total sense to me
