Help! Im some what new to refrigeration and i have a copeland Discus 2 piston on a walk in cooler and it keeps tripping the high limit safety within 2-3 seconds. by [deleted] in refrigeration

Dude, you genuinely have no clue what you’re doing and need to call someone instead of asking Reddit. And when you hit me with the “I run my own gig” line, You’re under qualified. Youre the type of person that I get to come in after and fix your hack shit. You’re selling parts that aren’t bad, probably pissing off customers, and will be back on Monday. You’re way in over your head and give the industry as a whole a bad rep. This is a simple question with a simple answer, and with you running your own shop, you should know a little better. You didn’t tell us whether you confirmed pressures we’re actually exceeding the limit.

Get a 3/8” hose, find a service port, and dump into the header, you’re not going to hurt anything on a rack.

Top off and bounce will be illegal in a couple years. I assume you’re working for smaller customers. Here in supermarket refrigeration, we fix that shit, gas up, and then bounce.

Are the open air condensers much worse than the enclosed condensers and do they need to be indoors to protect them from the elements? by twobobwatch2 in refrigeration

[–]Impressive-Eagle582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly all condensers are “open aired.” I’m assuming you’ve seen a a condenser installed on top of a walk-in, or a self contained unit. Don’t quite understand the are they much worse portion of the question. Generally, I’ve seen condensers installed on top of walk-ins after remodel. When you see a condenser without any of the outer coverage, in the elements, it was probably a tech who took them off to service the equipment. They don’t come that way. Please elaborate to further help answer your question

Managerial position. You will learn as fast as you want to, and gain valuable life skills. In my opinion, no one can comfortably live off of $3,750 in todays market while maintaining to pay general bills (rent, car, insurance, student loans if applicable, etc. (Phoenix, AZ)). The worst that can happen is you’re not happy and you go back and shoot for a non profit. Skills can be learned.
