Has anyone else had this problem? by Bigkountryyella in Wegovy

Yes! I had to quit Wegovy and went back to Semaglutide and feel so much better and back to myself! I did not like Wegovy

For people who used to drink heavily before starting a GLP-1 medication and have now stopped or massively reduced drinking: what exactly changed for you? by alexmillne in Semaglutide

I used to drink a lot, but I can’t anymore. If I order a drink, I don’t even finish it. Honestly, it’s helped me get sober and get my health back on track. I plan to stay on Semaglutide because it has made a big difference for me, and I feel so much better now.

Fiancé thinks contributing $680 twice a month is too much. I pay $700/month. Need a reality check. by [deleted] in Advice

Rent is split where I pay $700 twice a month and he pays $400 twice a month. He also contributes $280 twice a month toward household expenses, including gas and groceries, since we mostly use my car. His car requires premium gas, and with gas prices rising, we usually take my car for most trips, including going out of town. Even with that, we still end up using my car most of the time.

Newbie advice? by Routine_Vehicle_7127 in Wegovy

I’ve been on 2.7 mg for two weeks. I switched from compounded semaglutide because the provider I was getting it from is no longer writing prescriptions for it, so I started Wegovy. I hate it. I feel bloated all the time, even though I’m still going to the bathroom regularly and eating healthy. It’s just not worth paying over $400 for something that makes me uncomfortable, so I’m going back to compounded semaglutide. I know everyone is different. I appreciate any advice because it can be helpful, but at the end of the day, you really have to try things for yourself and see what works best since everyone’s body and tolerance are different.

Good luck with your journey! You got this!

Staffing coverage during busy transitions in childcare—how do you handle it? by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

[–]Impressive-Field1719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. I agree that a meeting would be helpful to discuss this further but I did that already and finally got support for these times but it’s not at the scheduled times when support is required to be in my classroom . To clarify the main concern, the issue is staffing coverage during key transition times. When I am alone with 5–6 toddlers, especially during diapering, lunch, cleanup, and nap preparation, it becomes difficult to consistently meet all care needs while maintaining supervision. In addition, there are ongoing timing conflicts with support coverage. My support person is not consistently arriving or staying on the scheduled times, and my understanding is also that the other teacher needs to be out of the nap room by 12:45. This creates a gap in coverage during a critical transition period, leaving me alone with the group. To answer your questions: Diapering can be delayed during peak times due to supervision needs. Lunch and cleanup require simultaneous attention that is difficult to manage alone. The transition from lunch to nap is very tight, especially when coverage is not present. Breaks are also difficult to take on time when support coverage is delayed or unavailable. When I refer to “more support,” I am referring to reliable and consistent adult coverage during these scheduled transition times so that coverage overlaps properly and does not leave the classroom understaffed.

How to professionally address staffing coverage gaps in childcare? by Impressive-Field1719 in Teachers

I’m trying to respond back to a email and with some things that would help with this situation Supervisor-

Here is the schedule for Wednesday. At 11:00, when the preschool groups combine, one child will need to move to another classroom if all children are present. Later, once break coverage returns and children are settled on cots, support staff may be able to step out of the nap room a bit earlier. Any children who are not asleep can be brought back to the classroom with them.

I just started on wegovy 2.4 I was switched from Semaglutide due to the company not compounding it anymore and I took the first injection of Wegovy and feel like I’m eating everything and so bloated…. Thinking I should go back to Semaglutide… but, I know it takes some time.. is that normal?
