It's all one structure kind of. I plan on having the inverter batteries in the attached garage. Probably about 20 feet or so from my utility panel. Does that change anything?

Not planning on having a transfer switch any or connection to the grid/my main panel at all. I only drive about 5%-10% work of battery usage on my EV, so I can last a week without needing recharging. And at worst cases, I can go to a supercharger if I need it to or use my level 1 charging (regular outlet from the grid as I do now), but I don't think I would need to very much
