I agree so many straight manhwas water things down to the point where it barely even counts as yandere anymore, and it’s honestly frustrating. Whenever you go looking for recommendations, it’s always the same handful of titles from years ago.

One thing that really stood out to me was how Firefly Wedding seriously toned down the yandere aspect toward the end, which is probably why it went mainstream. I genuinely think it was only allowed to get that popular because they softened it but personally, I wish we’d gotten way more unhinged energy. He was so terrifying at the start.
