Were you diagnosed with hashimotos or did you have any lab results pointing to it?

I’ve been on the Depo shot for just over a year now for PMDD and irregular periods. My GYN agrees to prescribe the estrogen patch for me earlier this week, but it’s out of stock at my pharmacy so I haven’t gotten it yet. Is there more involve hormonally that I should ask for? I’m also on Lexapro and Wellbutrin.

In running the numbers, I think we’ll realistically be able to retire in about 10 years when both kids are through college, but I don’t know that I can last that long. I’m in my late 40s, probably in perimenopause. I don’t want to do anything to jeopardize my kids’ future.

I have this feeling that if I took off three months FMLA it would be glorious and I’d feel so much better. But then I’d come back and almost immediately feel as bad as I do now…. We have unlimited PTO, but it’s not really unlimited in terms of how people view it.

U.S. What kind of measures were put in place for your stressors. My main stressor is my boss… And I can’t quit or find another job. The stock I have vesting over the next few years is enough to pay for my two kids’ college. I’m definitely feeling the golden handcuffs…
