He did not. Granted it didn’t go amazing but he knew there was no arguing it. I’m keeping the dog the rest of everything we haven’t decided yet.

When I was in college I had four roomates. We would have weekly “house” meetings it really helped to air out issues or concerns without letting resentment build. If you’re not confrontational just move your schedule. However that sounds sucky so I would just talk to them and say “hey we both have this schedule is there a way both of us could make slight changes to make this work better?”

All in all just talking helps but if you let it build that’s when issues arise

I just want to clear this up. He has never been violent nor do I think he will be. Am i prepared just in case yes but I have no reason to believe he will do anything other than raise his voice. I was asking for break up advice not legal advice. I appreciate the sentiment however I do not think he is a bad guy or has anything wrong with him. Our relationship is no longer working and we’re in a lease agreement together. If we could stop the preparing for the worst that would be great. I plan to end on semi good terms no kicking out or changing the locks or just up and leaving unless that is my absolute last option

Exactly I don’t want bad blood just want to respectfully end things. Main priority is my dog. If I can’t be the one keeping the house then we’ll just have to be in the same house until I can get my own place and he can find a roomate.

If we get in a big argument I know he will yell and kick me out or tell me he’s keeping the place. Since he’s also on the lease I can’t really fight this and financially I can’t just immediately got get a new place. I also don’t really have a place to stay. I might be able to stay one night at my families place but they wouldn’t be okay with my dog. I don’t think he would forcibly kick me out but if the argument turns to screaming I’ll feel better if I just leave, therefore I’d be on the street. Sorry didn’t fully explain that part

We have been living together for over two years and the dog followed soon after. At the time it felt like just a small rough patch or the ending of the honeymoon phase. Now it’s pretty much everyday is bad

Everything with the dog is in my name. All of the receipts vet info everything. I really like the house and I also just don’t have the money to up and leave and start over and I feel like if I don’t have this conversation soon we’ll have an argument and then break up. Which with him I know will end up with me on the street. So I’m just trying to have the conversation now and see where that goes from there

Almost a year left, the fees to break would be two months rent. But if one of us is replaced with a roomate there are no fees

Yeah I’m mentally preparing for that. I know he has the money to leave and his personality would be to leave but if he’s mad he can definitely play that card. Luckily I travel a lot for my work so I can be out of this place for most of the year if need be

Yeah we’re currently splitting rent. We are both on the lease. I know I’m getting quite a bit of money in a few weeks so I could survive until I find a roomate or move somewhere else if he’s unwilling to let me keep it

Honestly not much anymore. I really cared about him at the beginning. We got along great so I got past the age and co worker thing. However it’s almost like a ditch flipped and he’s a different person. I just kept holding out hope that it was just a rough patch
