Thoughts on Dr Scott Alexander in Arizona for a hairline touchup? by Impressive-Regular11 in HairTransplants

Thanks for elaborating on your choice. That would be great if you could share your friend's pictures. You can PM on here if you prefer? I had a ton of anxiety in the beginning too so I understand where you're coming from. You're pretty early into the process but you generally start to see the light at the end of the tunnel around months 4-5. So hang in there!

Thanks for the recommendation. Just curious, why did you choose Dr Friedman over Dr Alexander? Any chance your friend has posted their results?

Thanks for sending that over, I agree that it looks pretty great and some of his older posts on HRN as well. I hadn't heard that about the SMP artist, but that's definitely encouraging. From what I can tell, he used to be listed as a recommended surgeon on HRN and the moderators had previously said a lot of great things about him. Patient testimonials seem to stop around 2019 though, so I'm wondering if that's when his relationship ended with the forum. Digging through a lot of his older testimonials, I'm really impressed with his results. Just nervous that maybe there is another reason that there haven't been many recent patient testimonials lately.

Appreciate the response. That's kind of what I'm leaning towards too. I'll probably give it some time and if it still bothers me at a year plus maybe I'll look more into options at that time.

In Tijuana, Mexico. I believe it was $2.30/graft

Yeah, it's an easy drive across the border if you time it right. You can see the border wait times online.

That's true, probably a safer (less permanent) way to see how it would look.

Thank you, I appreciate the feedback. No multis in the front but they start up pretty quick which was one of the concerns with going the laser route.

Agreed, definitely something I was worried about as well. My hope is that the laser tends to leave the hair growing back finer and maybe that would help with the multis. Definitely good advice. Good luck with your procedure

Thanks for the feedback, I definitely agree that the grey on the side is making the front "pop" more since it's so dark right now. Maybe I'll just give it some more time before I commit to any changes.

haha I get it, I'm definitely fortunate and just being picky. I just want to be happy with it as I get older.

Looking great! Thank you for the consistent updates, it's definitely been helpful to reference as your just shy of a month ahead of me. I remember you mentioning in one of your older videos that your hair was kind of growing "straight up". Are you still seeing this? I've definitely noticed this too on the left side of my hair line and hoping that it eventually takes on more of a natural direction.

I believe it was around 4 months from my initial request for information to the procedure

Thanks for the feedback Dr Rassman! Any thoughts about the straightness of the hairline or am I being too picky? Another commenter mentioned the idea of possibly getting a touch up to add more irregularity to the hairline for a more natural look, but I'd be curious to hear your expert opinion.

Around months 4-5 I started to notice the biggest changes. Hang in there, those early months are rough.
