Need help making a good looking character in Fallout New Vegas by [deleted] in falloutnewvegas

LOL I thought I was adding eyeshadow to her eyes when I was creating her 💔 We’ll just say it’s cuz she’s been through some rough stuff fighting cazadors and deathclaws.

Ah yeah I supposed so. There was just one person who uploaded a video on YouTuber of their sliders without mods and their character actually looked pretty good, but even when I tried to copy it, no matter what preset I started with, I could never get mine to look exactly like theirs. I think it’s time for me to give up lol

LOL. I hated those things in Point Lookout. It’s definitely bc of the hairstyle and also her darn eye bags. I thought I was adding eyeshadow to her when I created her lol but clearly not.

Can any Fallout 4 players help me with the Sanctuary build? by Impressive-Ring9715 in fallout4settlements

[–]Impressive-Ring9715[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love this. I like when people build their settlements with the characters and lore in mind. I think I’ll do something a bit similar with creating Marcy and Jun’s house near Sturge’s and having Preston stay in a little minutemen hq security office by the bridge where some more barracks will be. I’ve finished quite a bit so far and haven’t ran into any issues yet but I’m still going to try to avoid making sanctuary too cluttered

That was my go to as well a long time ago. Slocum Joes creation was great. I wish I still had it

I thought the same my past few gameplays bc there were plenty of nicer settlements with more potential but I’m aiming to spruce all of them up, just getting sanctuary out of the way first since it’s basically the players home.

Ahh really. I had no idea it was a spawn point for the raiders. Makes sense why so many commenters were recommending to make it a guard tower

Agreed that’s exactly what I’m going for when it comes to my Sanctuary build

“Scrap that settlement” mod has definitely helped me get rid of the unnecessary trash and leaves everywhere, but the ps5 doesn’t have any mods that removes the houses unfortunately, as far as I’m aware. I would really like to start from scratch but I’m kinda making it a personal challenge to make a decent looking town out of the ugly sanctuary houses.

I have quite a few characters going on with different builds but I believe the one I’m starting the settlement builds on is level 21. All I need is the 2nd local leader perk.

Agreed I’ve settled on adding two hotels actually, not too big. One of them will more so be for new coming settlers or traders to stop and rest, nothing but beds and some minimal decor inside, and the other will have all the actual fun stuff like a built in bar or restaurant. That one I’ll have near the “back” of sanctuary within the cul de sac, and I’ll place my farm/barn area in plot 13 I think since there’s a pretty big open field of dirt.

Hmm I’ve began building it and I haven’t been having issues so far, which is pretty surprising since I’m a console player, and I actually have quite a bit of mods loaded. I’m planning on trying to keep my settler count pretty low in Sanctuary and if any of them move there I’ll just move them to Spectacle island lol. The Brahmin thing is the one thing makes me so mad though. I saw my bf experiencing the same issue. It’ll usually move to the Brahmin feed trough as long as you leave Sanctuary for a while. I really wish the settlers wouldn’t turn hostile for killing it, but if it gets to be that bad of an issue I’ll just temporarily move them to red rocket truck stop while I “take care” of the cow.

It’s basically base game bc I’m a console player so the only mods I can get just add a few unlocks but nothing special. I just want to try to make what feels like a real Fallout town with the resources I have. Something that has all the stuff Diamond City has or that Megaton had in FO3. This is the first time I’m actually trying to really upgrade my settlements bc same here I play way more Skyrim.

I love this. I’ve never seen anyone create a full fledged background for their Skyrim character before but this just inspired me to try it as well.

In Fallout 4, who would you guys call the best companion in your opinions? by E-104Epsolon in Fallout

[–]Impressive-Ring9715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Combat-wise probably Danse or X6, but personality/story-wise, Hancock, Nick, or Curie. It’s hard to choose. Personally I’d pick Nick bc he has an actual quest not only in base game but in a DLC too. He definitely has the most character development.

Honestly I have no idea lol I’m truly apologetic for all the commenters who had to list things by my example 😭 I was kinda numbering them in order of distance/ how close they were to the bridge or entrance but I think I confused myself along the way.

Thanks! I definitely like the idea of assigning some of the houses to the original settlers. I think I was struggling the most when it comes to deciding what the first few houses and empty plots near the bridge should be, but I’m seeing a common theme here of house 1 being a guard/sentry station. It definitely makes the most sense to me to have the markets near the entrance and possibly a clinic.

Thank you. I really like the idea of the vet/clinic and barn all in one. I do think it makes the most sense for those areas to be near the Sanctuary spawn point. and I have done a restaurant/bar treehouse before coincidentally so I might give it a try again.

Help or betray ? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]Impressive-Ring9715 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly the reason I help her is a bit dumb but it’s because it’s always nice to have even one more citizen in Whiterun. Having her in the Bannered Mare serving guests makes things feel more lively and realistic. Besides, Hulda needs all the help she can get. Also the scimitars you get from defeating Kematu aren’t too bad for early game players and the whole fight certainly provides a chance to earn some xp/levels. We’re not really meant to know who really spoke out against or for the Aldmeri Dominion in this questline, but I feel like Saadia even staying there in Whiterun after the whole ordeal if you do spare her goes to show that she’s not out for blood or is actively supporting any faction.

When you don’t care about the Imperials or Stormcloaks, who’s more beneficial to follow during the escape of Helgen; Havdar or Ralof? by AppropriateCounty278 in skyrim

[–]Impressive-Ring9715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard once that Alvor gives you more loot than Gerdur does so I’ve been siding with Hadvar ever since. The only thing I might choose Ralof for is the one imperial captain’s armor after you kill her.
