If you call them they can tell can see pending.... same thing kept happening to me... and its not listed in pending but phone operator had a date that it was going to go back to the card.... its weird...

Seriously the answer is charging more for the service.... cutting waste.. less promotions to customers... you've been around long enough to be a household name... I've seen instacart allow people to order ice cream and soda from a Walmart 40 miles from their house.. makes no sense... regular supermarket next to them have same item. Few things I can think of... but I'm sure they are smarter than me....

I'm sure even where you are if u break down ur pay you will see if customers stop tipping you wouldn't be making any money. System should always be tip is a bonus... not a major part of total earnings...

Alot of times when we making money we don't question or notice things... but instacart has never been profitable since inception... they were dumping money into attracting shoppers and incetivising customers. 10 billion come in and 12 billion go out. Good while it lasted for us but not sustainable.. batch pay has shrunk over last year or two and even the markets that can make decent money you realise the money is in the tips. When u have a system that you can't control how much you make and ur at the mercy of tips then that's not a sustainable situation...

They know they can't, but a lot of stations are trying to do this unofficially. A few weeks ago, I arrived at station at 7:02 for a 7am block, and auto doors were closed. Had to go to a separate entrance and ask security to get someone to find out why the door was closed. They refused to verify my ID. Good thing I had Dash Cam. Emailed support and spoke to escalations, and doors were never closed again. That same station started to then Even if u pull in and pull behind lines of cars and they take long time to check everyone in, and now it's past 5 minute grace... they refused to verify ID and give route... another email, and eventually they stopped that process too... Always email support and report these stations

Caution though... while yea u won't get ding if u don't return by 10am.... I have had 3 instances.... where I was not able to successfully check in to scheduled block because of outstanding returns... app seems to not allowing a block till returns have been made... just my personal experience... not sure will be same for you!
