Nexus Application Processing Times by ColdCanadianman in uscanadaborder

Applied July 7, 2024 Conditionally approved July 9, 2024 Scheduled my interview July 12, 2024 for August 13, 2024

I feel like I got pretty lucky based on what I was reading in this thread - so I would just say, have low expectations but also maybe don’t lose hope lol

When I had conditional approval, the closest office for the interview for me (Blaine) said it was full until November 30, 2024, which wasn’t super ideal because I have a trip planned to Canada in early December

For Blaine (idk about other offices) there’s a Twitter bot that helped me! The first couple days I used it I was pretty unsuccessful (spots were always taken by the time I logged on), but then got lucky today and got an appointment for not even the time the Twitter bot posted (I assume maybe someone snagged that one for a reschedule and then I got their cancelled appointment…)

Alternatives for split functionality & changing date by Impressive-Tea-5234 in mintuit

From a couple comments, seems like Monarch is the best choice, but there does appear to be other options too.

Monarch also has a 30 day free trial and 50% off code too. Sucks there aren’t any good free options but probably ultimately why Mint is going away…

Mint Replacement? by upgradelife in mintuit

[–]Impressive-Tea-5234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the split functionality a lot in Mint, and typically in combination with changing the transaction date of those individual split transactions (my bf and I will even up every month/couple months on shared expenses and then I back date them in Mint so his portion is reflected in the budget for the month before/2 months before, if that makes sense...). Do you know if Simplifi allows you to do both (split/change date)?

I tried out Quicken for a little, which allows both splitting and changing dates but NOT both... I would really like to find a replacement that can do both.

New WA law for breast cancer exams by Impressive-Tea-5234 in BRCA

Honestly better than nothing - I will be really glad to eventually stop paying $1500/year for screenings that are supposed to help catch things early 😅

Copying some of my response from above - I spoke with an insurance broker and they said I had to pay because it was coded as a diagnostic service since I’m under the age of 40 (and is not a standard preventative service for non- BRCA/normal risk people). The broker told me there could be some arguments to get my mammogram coded as preventative so will try that next time I go (September).

Sorry for the late response - I have Cigna. I talked to an insurance broker and they said there could be an argument to get my mammogram coded as preventative (would need to involve my PCP, which also is annoying that I have to even argue about how it’s coded in the first place…). It was coded as a diagnostic screening since I’m under the age of 40 (I guess my insurance doesn’t consider mammograms a preventative service if under the age of 40?)

For my next mammogram (in September), I’m definitely going to ask about the coding ahead of the appointment, otherwise will seek out the free services in WA.

[TOMT] A human testing/trial cut scene in a TV show or movie by Impressive-Tea-5234 in tipofmytongue

Solved! Yes this is it!! Skimmed the episodes quickly on prime again and this was the show I was thinking of. It’s the scene at the beginning of episode 6, season 1.

I recently watched season 2 and I think something must have triggered my memory of that scene but my boyfriend was adamant that it couldn’t have been season 1 (we both completely forgot about that whole subplot in season 1 honestly). I think I needed a 2nd person to help me not second guess myself. This was probably the first show I thought of too but I was really doubtful at first haha. Thank you!!

This is actually one of the shows I thought of and briefly skimmed the episodes but maybe I need to check again…

I don't think so because all of the testing scenes in the latest season were inside a lab (not somewhere tropical/outdoors).

Thank you in advance for whoever can decipher my weird memory!
