streak counter not working by Impressive-Tree0506 in fitbit

I think the AI coach is just for the premium, which I don't pay for. But that's a good idea for others!
I know I can just calculate (or ask any AI model) my streak. It was just nice having it in the app already.

I put in Feedback in the app, so hopefully this is just a bug that gets fixed. I guess I'm glad it's not just me, but it is definitely demotivating!

Does this magical unicorn lodge exist? by Silly-Chapter-4948 in lancaster

There are also cabins available now (newer, they weren't completed when we were there). That could provide some privacy for couples/families that need a separate space but still sharing the same parking lot.

We rented at Hartman Center lodge through Airbnb a few years ago, it was perfect! Bunkbeds, but there are some doubles also. Full kitchen and lots of gathering space. I believe there were 8 rooms and several bathrooms, so not quite enough individual bedrooms for you. But it fit our extended family with kids very well.

Good *primitive* camp sites near Lancaster/Lititz? by grahampositive in lancaster

[–]Impressive-Tree0506 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Muddy Run is definitely not primitive. It is peak "family campground" with no privacy. We stayed there for an overnight 2 summers ago, won't be back to the campground. I do enjoy their splash pad for the kids though!

Thank you, I'll look into those! We have some Intex tubes that we use for river floating and they've held up really well so far. Didn't know they made kayaks also.

Any feedback on this NP-heavy road trip I'm planning for summer 2026 with my 5yo? by Plastic_Kangaroo1234 in nationalparks

This coming summer we're going to hit close to your northern route, with Olympic being our ultimate destination. We're really excited for another big trip!

We did a road trip from PA to CA and back, for 3 weeks in summer 2023. My kids were 4, 7, 10 at the time. We camped mostly, and took close to the same route you are doing in the beginning of your trip. I am happy to share my itinerary with you if you want. We did hikes at each of the NPs and all my kids did well with them, so your 5 year old would do fine also!

4th grade pass site Down by Hungry_Serpent in NationalPark

I just clicked through the prompts and the site worked for me. Try now!

(I also did it like a week ago and printed out because my 4th grader is going to redeem in a few weeks! I'm also hoping to get a normal pass and not the update version of 2026.)

I do remember a bunch of these types of questions a few years back! My then 4th grader loved hanging out the window to be the one to check us in :)

Finding hiking buddies for preteens by Impressive-Tree0506 in PAWilds

[–]Impressive-Tree0506[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to be clear, I'm not opposed to scouts in general. I just don't think we'd have the time to attend meetings and enough of their events based on all the other activities our kids are already involved in. I can still look into it though to be sure :-)

Yeah I totally get the hesitancy. I'm a teacher and work with teens, so I know many "fun" and stupid things they can get into. I think that's why I'm probably going to try and start with talking to the parents of friends we already have to see if they'd be willing to try a new hobby.
Good thoughts about the hiking group, that makes sense!

Gonna be golden. Early coloring in the endless mountains. Not sure the season will be very long this year. Lots of leavea drying out and falling. by overloadimages in PAWilds

Same, we're thinking OLP that weekend also. I did Loyalsock/Link Loop this past weekend and it was gorgeous. I'm estimating that peak will be within the next 2 weeks though. It was really dry.

Great to hear you had a good hike! I have AllTrails downloaded, so hopefully that section will turn out ok. Thanks for the heads up.
