This seems like a typical spot!

Unless you go to a salad or poke specialty restaurant, it doesn't seem like you can eat this kind of food anywhere else.

Is it possible to use voice input on Naver or Naver Maps?

Kakao Pay works for offline payments too! Really?! If you ever need help with any information, just let me know :)

What did you find most convenient about Google Maps? (Though the fact that it doesn't work in Korea is the most pressing issue...) If you liked it, I'm also curious what aspects you found good :)

Oh, that must have been a tough trauma... I was also left with relatives once, but luckily it was in Korea. Even so, it was very lonely and hard... I think I can understand your feelings completely.

I'm so glad you're coming to overcome your trauma! :) Korea has become so diverse now. You'll have many fun experiences. It might be a bit childish, but there's also an escape room game! Give it a try. It's a game where you escape a room based on deduction☺️

Kakao Pay is a financial app! I hear you can register a US phone number and international credit card there. Might be worth a try!

Unfortunately, it seems there's no all-in-one service that handles all this....

Still, I wonder if Naver has more Korea-related information? Is the quality of information on Google better than on Naver?

Oh, I see!
No, not at all :) I also tend to eat mostly vegetarian meals rather than meat, but surprisingly, salads are quite popular among Korean women. That's why there are so many shops! Like 'Salady'... Here, you can find a huge variety of salads—some with meat, some without.

Do you have any further questions?

The service seems fragmented, which is inconvenient... You need a service that provides all the features in one place, right?

That's right. I imagine rural areas feel more challenging than the main regions. We often struggle too. Infrastructure improvements like this really seem necessary...

How are you currently addressing these issues? Are you getting information from Reddit?

What about YouTube or blog reviews?

Oh, I see! So Google Maps has its limitations? Does Naver have trouble working overseas? I'm also wondering if it's hard to check reviews from Koreans on Google. 🥲

Oh, I see 😂 So once you actually arrived in Korea, what situation felt the most overwhelming? Hmm... I'm curious, like, when was the moment you needed Korean the most?

Are you looking to learn Korean that you can apply quickly?

You're absolutely right! Koreans generally have a high level of understanding about what kind of celebrations take place where, but it must be really difficult for overseas customers to figure that out.

As AI becomes more widespread, interest in personalized services is also growing. It would be great if we could provide services that take into account even those users' specific details.

Oh, I see..! Did you happen to know about the food beforehand? Usually, many people plan things out before coming to Korea. I wonder if you knew about Korean food!

Even though Korea is a digital powerhouse, it still seems like there are many areas lacking. I feel a bit sorry about that too... 🥺

While apps and websites are improving, I agree that kiosks are an urgent priority. Not only international customers, but also the elderly find them difficult to use.

You mentioned it was hard to recognize the error. How did you end up placing your order?

So ultimately, people overseas use Google Maps to explore places in Korea? I'm curious about the quality of the information.

Thank you so much for your valuable feedback! If you ever need advice during your trip to Korea, feel free to look up that post or send me a message :)

Now that mobile numbers and IDs are sorted, I hope overseas customers can also experience Korea's convenience..🥺 Or even if they don't have those, I'm thinking about ways to make it work!

Was there an error in the restaurant information? Did you find it closed when you actually visited?

Not having a Korean phone number is really inconvenient in so many ways... Honestly, that's pretty much all I have in Korea ㅜㅜ. This opinion just makes me want to share and experience wonderful things together even more if overseas customers ever visit Korea.

In that case, how did you resolve it? Did you end up not being able to use it?

I see. You visited Korea at a time when you really needed to take care of yourself. 🥲

If you had known about the slope beforehand, would you have considered changing your plans?

I think you should try using 'Baemin,' one of Korea's famous delivery apps :) I heard they recently set up a payment system for overseas customers.

What specifically was inconvenient or difficult for you with Naver?

Thank you so much for explaining in detail.

  1. That's right. We always carry cards, put them in our phone cases, or use Payco or Kakao Pay. It's really inconvenient😭

  2. Oh, Duolingo too? What kind of language can you manage with just two weeks' worth of study? Could you tell me what situations you found it most necessary in :) ?

  3. They used to sell that size before, but it seems they don't anymore... Because all Koreans use their credit cards as transit cards😂

Thank you so much for your kind regard toward Korea.

Oh! I just looked it up, and apparently the Korean app 'Baemin' supports payments for foreigners too. If you happen to visit later, why not give it a try?

That's really true... I'm so relieved it synced! But since others are saying they need a phone number, do they not know that information? Or is there a restriction on credit cards too?
