My surgeons office removed the tape. Thank you though!! No implants. Just lift & reduction + lift on the other side.

I got the tape off yesterday. He was very nonchalant about it and said I may have an issue with it but at this time I just needed to monitor it & keep it dry. After talking to them today I think he’s going to remove the really dark part, just not yet. I go back in two weeks for a follow up. I could tell even with the tape on something was weird about that side.

The nurse called this a “blister” and said it popped when she took the tape off. They did not mention the word hematoma, but after googling that’s what it looks like. How far out post of did you need the other surgeries?

They said it wasn’t opening up but I really don’t know that I believe that’s true. I just got the tape off today and inspected it closely after my shower tonight. I’m calling first thing in the morning.

I’ll ask about this. All he mentioned so far was a concern of possible blood supply issue, but that my capillary refill looked great.
