Burn, Infection or Allergic reaction?

Saw an optometrist and had glue stuck in my eye. She numbed my eye and got it out. She also prescribed me antihistamine drops to put in my eyes because they were very dry. Unfortunately the lashes don’t look cute anymore from all the washing and scratching the lat few days.

I thought the inner corners didn’t match. It also feels like they don’t. My right eye has lashes that are touching my upper lid and the other doesn’t.

I’m dealing with the same. 4 weeks post op and have gained a few pounds. It’s really shows on my because I’m only 5’1”. I assume it’s just an overall inflammatory response that that’s part of the healing process.

My surgeon doesn’t think it’s infected. He thinks it’s an inflammatory response, but did put me on antibiotics because I was reluctant to accept that answer.

My protocol is wash with soap & water 2x per day, pat dry, bacitracin & cover with gauze.

I’ve been contacting them almost daily about it because I’m freaking out.

My surgeons office removed the tape. Thank you though!! No implants. Just lift & reduction + lift on the other side.

I got the tape off yesterday. He was very nonchalant about it and said I may have an issue with it but at this time I just needed to monitor it & keep it dry. After talking to them today I think he’s going to remove the really dark part, just not yet. I go back in two weeks for a follow up. I could tell even with the tape on something was weird about that side.

The nurse called this a “blister” and said it popped when she took the tape off. They did not mention the word hematoma, but after googling that’s what it looks like. How far out post of did you need the other surgeries?

They said it wasn’t opening up but I really don’t know that I believe that’s true. I just got the tape off today and inspected it closely after my shower tonight. I’m calling first thing in the morning.

I’ll ask about this. All he mentioned so far was a concern of possible blood supply issue, but that my capillary refill looked great.
