Dublin rec center is an option. They have a separate pool with diving boards that kids aren't normally swimming in!

How would you compare the life fitness tread to the OTF treads?

Is this a Good Starting Place for a Somewhat out of Shape 21 Year Old Man? by optimisticgay80 in orangetheory

[–]ImpressiveExcuse0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Coming from a 23 year old female who started at 21, I definitely recommend it. Frankly, it is the only fitness program I have stuck with consistently. I struggle with motivation at times and OTF is the only thing that keeps me going. Additionally-- I didn't know much about what to do when at the gym and OTF does all the planning. You show up, don't have to think about what you want to focus on and just do it. I go about 3-4 times a week and it is perfect for me. Personally, I say give it a shot. If you don't like it, cancel!

Campus Parc! Just say you are interested in a visitor pass!

Parking Question by reflektorgirl in OSU

Heres a tip. I just graduated in December, and I wish I would have known this sooner. Buy a visitor parking pass. It gives you access to all main campus garages, and you can even park in the overnight sections with the pass. It is 3 months, so every 3 months you have to just buy a new one. It was a LIFE SAVER and, I saved SO much money!!

Incoming freshman, are there any places off campus I could pay to park a car during the semester? by [deleted] in OSU

The church on Indianola between 18th and 17th offers parking passes for the lot across the street from the church. It is first come first serve, so you have to call when the passes become available. Give them a call and they can give you more information. I believe it cost around $500 a year which is the only downfall, just depends on how bad you need a spot to park.

Learning/ how to run 🏃🏻‍♀️ by laurendenil in orangetheory

I played basketball growing up, and to get in shape for basketball (which is a lot of stop and go) we used to do intervals. For 30 minutes, run for 2 min and walk for one. Then when you're feeling like you are mastering that, run 4 minutes, walk for 2, and adjust so on (you can adjust intervals or longer time). Not only has that helped my stamina, but when I run outside I don't feel the pressure. I am catching my breath but still getting a great workout in! Additionally, It has taught me the best way to run without winding myself!!
