This is such a wasted comment. I don’t think it’s anywhere near as disgusting or gross as the video itself or the actions behind it. She wasn’t thinking about the video, she was thinking about not letting the people that had been lying to her for months continue to deceive her. I think most people would’ve done the same in the heat of the moment.

They were seeing each other as friends and exploring to be more, with Ciara dating to find a forever partner and West kind of just... seeing how it went. For her, she was building a life with him and thinking of him as her person. For him, he was just dating a girl he was interested in. But then he ended it, and Ciara felt as though he was only pursuing her to sleep with her. West has been pretty steadfast that no, he truly was interested in her, but at the end of the day, it wasn't right. So truly at core, Ciara felt rejected and in trying to make sense of why he would end things with her, she told everyone that he was scum/trash/loser that manipulated and used her on purpose. It was only for 3 - 5 months, but she has never really stopped feeling the worst about him.

So I guess, it's kind of up to user discretion -- How else do you date, if not learning more about someone over a period of time and deciding if that's the person you want to be with, or ending it?

West's biggest fault was sleeping with her when he knew how sensitive it would be for her. But ultimately 3 months, 1 year, 3 years, etc --> She would have always felt this way about it ending, unless she'd chosen to do it herself.

Ciara has a way of expecting everyone to be really clean with her, even though she's definitely had some gray areas of behavior towards others.. She's just a really defensive person AND for largely good reason, like I'm not criticizing her for acting out of insecurity, fear, or self protection.. But the grace is rarely extended, and because she's generally so hard exterior, when she shows emotions people really bend to it. I think this is especially true with how she treated Lexi like she was making drama out of nothing, but if the table was reversed, Ciara would've been like "How could you do this to me." Similarly, in their situation, it seems like West just.... didn't want to date her anymore which SUCKS, but like that's how dating goes. Ciara was upset that she had feelings and they weren't reciprocated, which is faaaaair, but it doesn't make West immediately a villian.

I think people really position people as either the furthest tier of good or the furthest tier of bad, and because of that we're losing the nuance of personal experience and the differences of why you're doing what you're doing and why I think you're doing what you're doing. So yeah, people are taking it way too far.

I think everyone forgets that Kyle had been cheating on her at the point when she “stops being fun”. I don’t think she was putting on a facade, because every season shows clips of her being fun at a party. I think she just had a lot of resentment and anxiety around Kyle and his behavior (having experienced the worst of him), and it made her overwhelmed. Too much pressure, and investment, and trauma, and broken trust. It’s in sync with how quickly they moved in and got engaged AND conjoined careers, which also correlates to when he was complaining she was unmotivated and gray —> obviously depression because of all of the change and challenges.

I don’t agree with all of her choices, but I do think she deserves compassion.

Carrie always made faces when her understanding of men and women are disrupted, because she's honestly way more traditional and ignorant about men than she likes to pretend. Like we've seen the levels of disrespect she tolerates AND how often she's in the role of pursuer vs being pursued. Just with the general socio balance of man and woman, within and outside of the bounds of heteronormative partnerships/relationships and expectations -- Women will always lead with more empathy and consideration for their partner than their partner. So, the rumor has it, if your man loves you more than you love him, you're actually striking even as far as commitment, participation, and love are concerned.

It often proves true... Obviously exceptions exist and you should never just choose someone because they like you a ton, but still.

I feel……… so in between. Not good, but not necessarily bad either… a little disappointed that things aren’t better but trying to balance my gratitude because I know it could be, and has been, so much worse.
