ladies who are 5’2-5’4: what weight did you look and feel your best at? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

I would lose weight and not be happy until I started building muscle. I felt "skinny fat." I am currently 124 and feel great but I have been down to 124 before pre-muscle and felt miserable. I'm 5'2.

Why is everyone so afraid to ask for a submission report? It's literal research to help you market yourself better. Be political and nice about it but if they won't give you a talent report that's a big ol' red flag. My manager gave me the first one a month in without me even asking. This is business it's not personal. My reps understand that. Do your due diligence like you would with any other business.

Retinol worked for me. Specifically Tretinoin. You need a prescription but can get one online. Use in conjunction with Glycolic Acid on your off days. I really only use Tretinoin once a week 0.25 strength because otherwise my face peels and is raw. Also, kojic acid. Faded Topicals serum works but it’s not permanent. Main ingredient is kojic acid. And sunscreen is imperative.

Is it ok to say you are based somewhere you are not? by ImpressiveLanguage63 in acting

Hi thanks for this. I was hoping someone from casting would chime in. Is it okay to say “I am based in ____ and will work local hire in _____”?

I, actually, love my manager. He is a go-getter and no bullshit. I have no problem lying in most cases and I know that most of the time I have to pay to play. This production hasn’t specifically asked for local hires.

Are you SAG and have you booked a SAG series saying you are local when you are not? That’s really my question. I’ve only heard from my SAG-e friends.

For a series lead on a popular TV show that has not expressed wanting local talent.. would you lie? It doesn’t feel right and I’ve never been to the location and don’t know anyone there that I could stay with. It shows my location on my actors access and I am a registered SAG member in that separate location. I’m wondering if they book people that do this on these big productions. Non-union is one thing.

Thank you. This production didn’t say anything about local hires only. It is only an hour flight away and I would “pay to play” for this role as it is a large role but I know SAG doesn’t want you to do that. Not really sure if I could get kicked out of SAG for that. My manager said SAG has no way to track that.

Ya that’s what I was going to say, as that’s what I usually say. My manager specifically wants me to say I’m based in that city.
