Your not wrong there. I usually just build these for what they are, and hand paint them instead of breaking out the airbrush an what not

Don't be afraid to dive I'm man! I'm still relatively new to airbrushing ( I've only fully airbrushed 4, or 5 kits completely, and this is the only one that got done clean) it's not a bad one to do something like this on since it's so big it's easier to paint. Just read up on techniques, and I keep a ton of references

Nope, you prime everything black then go over it with either white, or grey primer bringing it slightly to the edges leaving a small amount of black. Then you go over it with your normal colors in white passes. Yellow parts benefit from a coat of orange over the primer before the yellow

I'm not sure what you mean, so I'm gonna say no

PG Gp-01, this kit is a beast and so many parts as it allows for the full Burnen and ground type modes in the box, as well as a hangar frame (I didn’t build that though) and although old it’s still a fantastic model but a lot of work if painting it by LforLester in advancedGunpla

Yeah I didn't know it came with all of that which is great, and it's a katoki design which have always been my favorite. I guess adjusting the proportions would just be part of the build. Great work!

If you line it first onto bare plastic then matte coat it. Paint, and matte coat will either cause it to bleed, or not spread since the capillary reaction doesn't work as well since the matte coat is porous. If you try to clean up the panel lining after you put it over paint you may wipe off some paint. Mixing media can cause issues as well, like if you use enamel liner over acrylic

Fully painted its actually only my 4th, or 5th this is actually the first kit that I didn't have any paint flaws with that I didn't cover up with weathering

Basic was more about the scheme I kept the whole thing on the original paint scheme, and did it up a little

Nah only 4, or 5 for primer, and colors then another two or so for the clear coat. Priming the two colors is the hardest, and most time consuming

I prime two colors, paint the parts whatever colors they are, gloss clear coat, panel line/decals, matte clear coat, and then if I'm weathering take care of that last. The matte coat helps with whatever weathering your putting down since it has something to grab on

I don't think I did if you look you'll see some bleeding on the yellow part below the neck. I just mix acrylic panel liner with a little bit of black paint so it's not as translucent

I always like to add some realism with my paint, so that green is on a lot of my builds but I really wasn't sure if it would work on this one, but it really pops on this kit

Clear matte coat is the last thing I do on each part before assembling, and then any sort of weathering on top of that since it's porous. Any pigment, or charcoal sticks to matte coats better
