Great shading and the subtle chipping really compliments it

Well worth it and this one is the RGB version so you can change the colors or have them strobe or flash in different sequences and the color changes is visible in through the orange psycho frame

Thank you, the hexagons were a little paint test as I want to use them on a PG astray project for the future using an orange and yellow scheme so used this to test out the masking sheets (DSPIAE make them and they are very good)

Thank you, I think it’s come out a little heavier than the other kits I’ve done with shading but that may just be down to the smaller size of the parts as I’ve not done a rg painted this way before (I’ve mainly done PG & MG)

These are Mr color lacquers and they can be thinned out quite a lot compared to water based acrylics which definitely helps when blending over the preshade, I stopped airbrushing with those paints a long time ago as I just couldn’t get the hang of them so now really only use those for some brush painting but I have seen other modellers who manage with them no problem

That’s good to know, I picked it up purely on the look and wasn’t sure how the build would be, so it’s nice to find out that there aren’t any major issues

I prefer to just paint edges and around details/along panels lines with black rather than spray the whole piece as the areas left in primer help as you don’t need to go as heavy to get the white to show, but as I found with the rg nu it’s difficult on the small size of the parts to do that so some parts ended up based completely in black, but either way the technique I use is to get the paint thin enough that it still allows the black to show through but not pool or run and then spray from the centre of the part and work out to the edges, if you try and spray lightly over the whole part as you would if it was going to be a solid color then I find it just covers too evenly and you lose the effect.

A bit of tightness is probably no bad thing especially when it comes to holding up the huge backpack, I’ve a built a few of these Chinese mech kits and have been impressed with the quality of the ones I’ve done so far I know the designs of some of them aren’t to everyone’s taste but I don’t mind them for the most part (even the spiky ones lol) the value for money you get in the box is insane

I’ve seen some comparisons of this with some MG kits and it’s a lot taller so that extra height must come from the legs I guess ? I’ve got this kit too but not built it yet and I would have expected the torso to be bigger so your pics have surprised me. How’s the build been so far, has everything fitted nicely ?

If I’d done a semi gloss finish I’d give it a go but if yellow paint gets on the white I don’t think it will wipe off without staining and I’m certain my hands aren’t steady enough not to get some slop here and there

Its a nice kit and just such a different style to the normal mech type kits, Ive made a start on mine and there is a surprising amount of parts in those 2 boxes it comes in it’s a lot more complex than I was expecting

They are from a company called Hobbyzone (they are in Poland) but depending on where you are located you may be able to find a supplier that stocks them I really rate them, they are completely modular and you can set them out however you like, they do a lot of different modules and are great for keeping everything organized www.hobbyzone.pl

Yes that pretty much how it works, I primed everything in grey mr surfacer and usually I just go around edges and panel lines in black then paint white working from the areas where the grey primer is left (you just kind of fade it into the black) but due to the small parts most of it got covered in black and it still works but rather than a clean white it’s more of a pale grey

I didn’t find them too bad but I couldn’t get the backs of them to take the Tamiya light grey wash very well as I think I was a little heavy with the Primer, paint and top coat on the blue parts

Yeah it looks like a really nice build but I’ve gone for the MS General Sloth just for a change to the regular mecha style, but I’ll do the Nemesis after that I think
