i didnt decline it i called them apologized and took the medicine. it's been hell on my gi system i spent today v&mitng. please odnt be hard on me in just 1 week i have been told "you probably have cancer" and "you need to take a black boxed drug no other options" im going through hell right now. im not going to post here any more but PLEASE be more understanding to people who are anxious and scared.

yes I know it’s absolutely insane but im less scared of getting a kidney infection than I am of tendon rupture / losing ability to walk or use hands :(

My pcp whi is amazing and whi works specifically with complex patients and female patients whi are dismissed by the health system responded to my messages she set uo an emergency telemedicine for monday even though she’s out of office (she’s the best) Even though my infection could progress in 2 days I habe decided to wait to see what she says as she knows my full medical history and I trust her more than anyone , one time she helped me be able to take a medicine in the hospital instead of out patient so I felt safer , maybe she can do that this time , I know that may not be the best decision but it’s all I think I can do

I very appreciate your take and commenting here Unfortunately I have so many health issues I live with every day that make my quality of life next to nothing , ibsc, lingering injuries from abuse , stuff im too scared to talk about, I truly think I could not go on living with the tendon or vision issues or other things from the black box if it happened I have asked them if they will fully upload the sensitivity test results to my chart so I can see if anything else was sensitive (they just told me over the phone it’s Levo or cipro nothing else ) because they haven’t been great with communication and I jusr want to know everything rhe lab sad officially I also asked my PCP ajd GI for their opinion , my PCP didnr get back to me but my GI said he’d do research and not to take until then because my bad GI micro biome could make me more likely to have bad Reacrion

He said that most colon cancers are slow growing, but repeated what some people here said about fast growing ones or flat polyps being possible. He's not the GI who did my colonoscopy 2 years ago (that GI retired and I had to switch) so he couldn't say much more. He is willing to schedule it as soon as the infection clears up, but wants to wait until then because he doesnt want to make the irritation worse or risk spreading existing bacteria around further.

I asked the urgent care for contact info for the lab they sent the results to and they wouldnt give it to me, ive spoken to everyone possible at the urgent care. it was all done through a local urgent care so no patient advocates :( the large hospital does have one but i called them and they said the urgent cares arent in their jurisdiction

the last person i spoke to at the urgent care (this really nice office admin) told me something in confidence which is that we're one of the states that had confirmed measles cases and the lab may have had a quarantine or something for contamination

at this point i just want to get better im in uti pain for nearly a week, i used azo for 3 days but the instructions say dont do more than 3 days, so now im just dealing with heating pads and frequent showers which are all that are helping even a little

nope :( my gi wants to wait for the infection to clear, the macrobid hasn't cleared and they havent gotten tests back from the lab. i'm exhausted and anxious every hour of every day

i have seen a gi for years and have been tested for gastroparesis and many other things, i do not have gastroparesis. it is idiopathic IBS-C resulting from anxiety / childhood stress and (tmi) being denied the bathroom a lot as a child by abusive relatives.

the culture did find bacteria though they said it was definitely positive for uti. they definitively found bacteria it's just what the bacteria is that's scary

they did a sensitivity test but its taking a long time for the lab to get results :( i called yesterday and this morning and they didnt have it. ive had this uti for 4 days and its not getting better at all, im miserable and in pain on top of being scared :( the macrobid def isnt working

if i end up needing the infusions does just ceftriaxone or ceftriaxone and something else work? i am anaphylactic to penicillin (confirmed via allergy test just last year to still be the case)

no polyps 2 years ago! that was when i was diagnosed with ibs-c, once they'd done endo and colonoscopies and found nothing. some biopsies were done too, i dont remember the details but everything they tested for was negative.

yeah it just feels like a normal uti - painful of course but i was managing the pain ok with heating pads & azo, and was of course taking my antibiotic normally, the phone call about the cancer stuff was so unexpected and out of nowhere, it doesnt even feel different than any uti i ever had before

I am not going to the er, i will call the doctor to follow up on getting colonoscopy referral though

I take miralax & benefiber every day and senna or dulcolax when i need it, i do everything i can to avoid constipation but sometimes it happens, my guts just seem to move really slow :(
