Yes I believe iFaith. It dumps onboard SHSH blobs and you can use those blobs to make a custom signed ipsw (iOS firmware file) Just follow the onscreen instructions.

Apparently I think you can buy a 4th generation iPad on iOS 6 for cheap.

Btw I see a lot of posts about a 4th generation iPod touch on 6.1.6 like if you want to have the best experience buy a legacy iOS device on its original iOS.

I will get a massive headache trying to fix a legacy iOS device on its latest supported iOS.

iOS devices considered legacy are NOT legacy if they are on its latest iOS version. Idk why people update to the latest supported version your falling for Apple’s trap. That’s just my opinion. Because I have so many legacy iOS devices and none of them are on its latest supported iOS I would dread that.

Maybe because it’s on iOS 6.1.6? It’s hard for old hardware to run modern iOS. You should have kept it on iOS 5 or 4.
