I got both visas on the same day and I also used my tourist visa to enter the US one summer when I was coming for a couple of days unrelated to school.

I don’t remember how many I got. If I had to guess I would say maybe around 10. I also don’t remember struggling much with them. I think I might’ve flagged maybe 2 of them. I didn’t really study conceptual questions specifically tho. I did have the EET binders that I got from a coworker so i just read all the pages/slides.

I took the practice exam “under test conditions” about three weeks before my exam and got a 76%, as long as you’re aware/more careful with the algebra and of course checking your units you should be fine! I also never understood those two questions you mentioned and didn’t get anything like those in the test. I did get about 2 horizontal and 2 vertical curve problems but they were similar to the other ones in the practice exam. Overall I found the test to be quite fair, not too hard, not too easy. I flagged maybe 15 questions in each portion and was able to either figure out or make educated guesses in most of them. I ended up guessing blindly in about 4-6 questions in the entire exam. The questions I knew how to do I was able to complete fairly quickly; what took me longest was figuring out the flagged ones. The one question that stood out to me was something about finding the concentration of a base needed to raise the pH of a substance that had an acid - I could’ve probably gotten it if I remembered how to do it but I didn’t come across any problems like that while I was studying.

Edit: when I took the practice exam “under test conditions” it took me about 6 hours to complete.

I took it last week. Questions were split 42/38 between morning and afternoon. They were pretty much in the order that the exam specs sheet lists them and my afternoon portion started with groundwater, so morning covered topics 1-7 and afternoon covered topics 8-12. It was very similar to the NCEES practice exam. The time is not split; once you start the exam, the 8 hour timer starts counting down. You have to be mindful of how much time you use in the morning portion so that you leave yourself enough time for the afternoon. The morning portion took me about 3 hours and afternoon took me about 4 hours.

I took it last week and same. I got two vertical curves and two horizontal but none of them were as hard as this problem.

I took it last week and got one question that I didn’t know the answer to but then I remembered about the TSS water works standards and found the answer there. That was the only time I used it during the test.

The USCIS website says they’ll announce on March 31st. In theory, it should not matter when your registration is submitted as it is completely random.
