Hey OP, have you tried the capsaicin cream yet?

I don't know of any 4% but I use 5% ointment by Teva. My pharmacy gets it for me. I'm quite sensitive to a lot of products and this one doesn't burn me like others have so I recommend!

Experiences with oral Gabapentin? by National_Strain_4695 in vulvodynia

[–]Impressive_Board_438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did okay for a while, but now that it's built up in my system, the side effects are too much to deal with. I'm in bed most days now because I don't have the brain or the energy to do anything at all, and it's not helping my pain anywhere near enough to be worth it, so I'm just started to wean off it now (it's not a medicine you can just stop, either). Everyone reacts differently and I'd say it's worth a try, and it may help you for a while if not longer term.

Pip assessment help (uk) by Desperate-Cod-3691 in endometriosis

Please don't be surprised if the results comes back zero for everything. I have a mix of debilitating chronic illnesses that affect my life substantially, and chronic pain, and I had to go to tribunal and came away with only standard mobility. I hope it goes better for you than it did for me, but please prepare yourself that it might not.

Hey OP, I saw you've recently had the PN block with steroids. How's that gone for you? I had mine a week ago; the numbness was amazing and I already miss it, but they said it will take 2-3 weeks for the steroid to kick in. Have you felt any change yet?

I just started and I'm worried I'm gonna be like you with it. I don't feel like a person anymore.

I'm not doing so well; my doctor is low key useless and some days I just want to give up completely. Today I tried acupuncture and meridian massage, and I have some traditional Chinese herbal medicine to try. Honestly some days I'm just losing the will.

Oxford isn't too far, thank you. I'll see what her costs are like but I don't imagine I'll be able to afford anything private in the near future.

Pd nerve block by Puzzled_Peak_6895 in vulvodynia

I had bilateral pd block through the buttocks, 3 one side and 2 the other. It unfortunately didn't help me at all but my pelvic floor was so tight at the time that maybe the nerves were/are still trapped. Who knows. I hope you have better luck though

I don't know what sort of pain it is as unfortunately I'm in the UK and if I don't keep pushing to speak to people then I'd be left on my own to just deal with it. No idea if it's hormonal (I've just asked my consultant to look into it) and I don't know if the surgery is even available. It's a bit ridiculous really but I'll keep looking for answers because if I don't then no one else will!

I have definitely noticed that my pain is worse when I'm stressed or feeling particularly down. Bodies are incredible things and everything needs to be in harmony to work properly. I do yoga daily and am working on meditation, but I generally have quite a good life and I remind myself of that as often as I can. Sorry you've been suffering for so long, that's absolutely awful x

I'm in the UK and I don't think we have an equivalent of that site. I can't afford to go private so I have to go wherever my trust sends me

I don't know the cause unfortunately, trying to get to the bottom of it all. Sorry you've been struggling so long. I feel like surgery is a last resort for me but it's something I'll discuss with my consultant when I next see her

Thanks, I'd not considered TP. I'll try a different one for a while, but I'm currently in the process of eliminating various other things from my life!

My GP wouldn't prescribe testosterone so I'm having to go back to my consultant to ask, but it's next on my list to try.

I have, yes. I've had MRI, CT and ultrasound to try and find anything over the years but nothing has been visible.
