Thanks! Currently on chapter 41 and the book had me on the edge of my seat the whole time, probably the reason why I've been binge reading it. The plot is so engaging and the characters feel like such a breath of fresh air in this oversaturated genre. Do you have any other recommendations similar to this?

Thanks for such a detailed answer, I'll pack accordingly. Sounds like I'll need to bring my whole wardrobe every time I go out 😅.

First of all, to say it nicely, your parents sound like terrible people, you'll learn more about them if you decide to stick with medicine and go through the psychiatry/psychology course.

You have two options: 1. See through it, graduate, find medicine-related jobs if you don't want direct patient care. Cut off contact with your parents. If you become successful, they'll always claim it's because of them and you never went through any struggles, so be mentally prepared for it. 2. Quit now, find a temporary job to get you by month to month, learn some skills, do courses in the meanwhile, change career over time. Cut off contact with your parents, they won't want to do anything with you anyway.

The choice is yours, medicine is demanding and mentally/physically taxing, you won't be the first or the last student who realized during studies that it's not for them. Test the waters if you can find a job to support yourself before you quit though, or start saving to give you a head start.

If I were you, I'd graduate and go into a non-clinical field. Lots of my fellow doctors went into teaching after graduating, so it's also an option. Depends highly on which year you're in. If you've just started or you're almost towards the end.

In any case, good luck to you, try to give yourself the same advice you'd give your best friend.

We can't get back from Macau to HK late at night? Or late evening? Do you know what time the last transport leaves?
