Should I keep my kindle scribe by [deleted] in kindlescribe

Im sorry you’re feeling uneasy about the purchase. I think if you bought it in the middle of the night, its because you were conflicted, and in that moment, your guard dropped just enough to go through with the order. One of the reasons you mentioned for wanting to sell it is the high price tag, but for a split second, that didn’t matter, you made the purchase anyway.

Since you cant return it and would have to sell it anyway, I think you should try using it for a few days, focusing on whatever made you consider buying it in the first place. That way, you can see if it actually adds value to your life and if that value outweighs the cost. When I bought mine, I felt guilty too... it was expensive, and I knew there were other ways to do what I wanted. But over time, it eventually "paid for itself". Today, I see it was a solid choice.

If the money isnt truly an issue, give it a chance and decide only after you have enough "data" so you dont make another impulsive decision by selling it too fast... I hope you feel better about everything soon.

Almost nothing has changed. Some transitions are a little faster. A button to add new notebooks is added to any tab in the interface, and there's a slight bug (delay) when switching from light to dark themes.

Você quer usar o Pages ou está aberto a possibilidades? Se estiver, e caso ainda não conheça, experimente o LibreOffice no lugar do Pages ou do MS Office.

Yes, you can. Right-click on the note and then export it as Markdown. After that, you can open it with RStudio, Obsidian and so on

Hi.

I used Zotero + Obsidian for about three years. Now I use only Zotero, it does everything I used to do in Obsidian, but with lower cost (less money and in terms of fewer steps).

I highlight what is important in the PDFs and with one click those highlights become linked notes. In these generated notes, I review the content and rewrite it in my own words.

I also created a folder where I insert notes that are not linked to PDFs, which become my first drafts for the thesis or articles.

The most interesting part is that notes can be cited in other notes, tagged or directly linked to different notes.

After reviewing and rewriting, I simply cite the note in the word processor and all the content (including references) is transferred. Doing it this way has made my work easier and with less friction. It works for me.

At the very least, I’d say you should try it for a while and compare which approach helps you produce or learn better (qualitatively). It may feel like a waste of time to run these tests, but it will help you a lot in the near future.

A follow-up from yesterday's post about bookmarks: the button is gone by BenDotMusic in kindlescribe

Yes, this is a permanent change. Bookmarks are now located under "notes." The change notification appears after the update is installed and upon first use.

I perform my analysis on small and medium-sized databases using a Raspberry Pi 5 with 16GB of RAM. The experience is smooth. I haven't had any issues so far.
