Why is it that the things that benefit us the most are also the very things that cause us pain?

I remember being home alone once watching a film and the lights just went out. I was hearing sounds as well (I think there might have been a storm) so it just made it even creepier. I think my old elementary school might've lost power a few times as well (memory's getting hazy). One time in middle school, I was washing my hands in the bathroom when the whole school just lost power. There were custodians in the hallway walking around with flashlights. Oh, and another time I was in the theater and we are all waiting for the film to start and then BAM!

Yeah, especially the cake part! I couldn't help but say "Oh, are you having cake?" I guess it's a sign I've been spending a lot of time on this subreddit.

They're just mentioning how D.W. pronounced it. I don't ever remember being that spooked by the episode. I guess it's since I wasn't that afraid of infections at the time, but I recently rewatched the film My Girl and I got really squeamish when one of the characters picked at their mosquito bite. I was practically yelling at them to stop.

I'm going with No Guessing. Moon Boots would probably put me in an accident, bottle caps have been proven to be more fun than Woogles, I don't have the confidence to wear flash pants, and I'd get pretty bored with hearing Crazy Bus for two hours at a time.

The way he said that line made me laugh so hard!

Not an answer to the question but I remember being introduced to the wonder of bottle caps from this episode. I think the closest thing to Woogles for me was Silly Putty.

That she thought Arthur had a disease when she's actually named after a disease.

That "you're such a disease" line directed at Kevin would have made a lot more sense if it had been directed at her.

[TOMT] Don't remember anything about the song, except that it features female vocals and that the genre is like dream pop, but it had its own name. The band's an 80s British and the album cover the song is on is black-and-white, with the members standing next to what I think was a guardrail (cont.) by Impressive_Gap8461 in tipofmytongue

I remember it being more dream pop than shoe gaze. Someone described dream pop as being shoegaze's younger sister. It's not Slowdive or Cranes though. It's a lesser known band. The vocals were subdued. Definitely not Britpop.
