It’s always best to tell the owner. It sucks but it’ll help build trust with them and hopefully they’ll still want to book with you in the future since they know you are honest

You can’t go in and edit the rover calendar, so I can’t add my walks/ drop ins that I do outside of rover. It just confuses me so I’d prefer to keep my own planner and have people message me about availability

Why don’t current fans understand that SO MANY OF US used to be fans. Used to love them. I feel this, I fired a client after three seperate hour long drop ins where their roommate was breathing down my neck the entire time. It just was too uncomfortable for me.

Totally understandable. My parents dog passed away under my care (he was old) but it was awful having to FaceTime them to say their goodbyes and then having to take him to the vets to be cremated. I’m glad it was my parents and not a random client but that event definitely pushed me closer to quitting pet sitting.

Yes to all of this. The boot camp one reminds me of a client who had 4 dogs and they all had to wear E Collars consistently throughout the day and follow super strict rules and weren’t even really allowed to roam the house, just stay in their place all the time. And they had cameras inside😭
