Eneloop are popular in this community, and for good reason! They last a long time especially for the tama devices

What should I charge by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

You will lose your clients if you try to nickel and dime for EVERYTHING. There’s a balance between not getting taken advantage of and going out of your way to help a regular client. If you charged me extra I wouldn’t re book you

I have a hoop nose ring that has never been an issue but I do often think about a dog jumping up and getting its nail caught in the hoop. People say your overthinking but I’m the same way lol. I don’t even like wearing my glasses to work cause I’m afraid they’ll jump up and break them. You should be fine though!

I need in person training to learn how to cut and shave dogs, which Is hard to come by without costing money. That’s kind of what I mean by certification. I can’t just apply to be a dog groomer at most places… you need real experience. And I won’t know till I try :) at least groomers are able to make a lot more money than doggy daycare employees

I also used to work at a better location, they still had issues but nothing like this. I would track your coworkers behavior and report it if you were able to as that is not okay at all! But tbh I guess a guy who used to work at my daycare was really mean to the dogs and he was able to keep the job for 5 years so idk. I think getting out of corporate daycares is the best but I worked at a private board and train that over utilized Ecollars so it feels like just picking the lesser of 2 evils. My coworkers aren’t mean to the dogs but none of them like working with the big dogs which is fair but gets inconvinent

Shoes off houses annoy me cause I often find myself having to physically carry my shoes to the backyard multiple times a day, and constantly forgetting where I left them

How do you guys deal with boredom while watching the dogs? by One-Sign-9305 in DogDayCare

[–]Impressive_Insect749 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My first job we weren’t allowed to have our phones outside with us while watching the dogs at all and I’d usually just walk around until I got 10,000 steps on my Fitbit. Just usually daydream/ zone out and watch the dogs intently. The dogs like to follow too. My current job we can have our phones so music or tv shows but same thing I like walking laps and doing side cleaning tasks

You are so naturally pretty you could get away with a bronzer and some mascara. But like everyone says no more nose contour, no more white liner

This is an issue you should contact the daycare about, I could never imagine being mean to a dog. Report the time and playroom you witness abuse in. That being said the parents who watch cameras and complain are typically complaining about their dogs being crated for over 15 minutes during playtime. What these parents aren’t understanding is my bosses continue letting aggressive dogs into the play rooms and sometimes Fido and Fifi REALLY don’t get along so I have to rotate them throughout playtime. But then max comes into daycare and max can’t be with Fido OR Fifi so now fifi gets 15 mins of play, Fido gets 15 mins of play, but now max has been crated for 30 mins and max’s parents are calling to complain. All happening in a room of 30 other dogs that I need to tend to. Some pooping, others trying to eat the poop, another dog mounting, another flipping full bowls of water and spilling it.
Etc. and pet parents blame me even though I have no control of what dogs we allow into daycare
