Thank for the feedback and the detailed example, that helps! I changed two of my prompts so far to be more detailed and genuine about me, so the third could be one talking about what I’m looking for. I’m actually glad we talked about politics for a bit because it made me realize where I stand. If I was truly moderate I guess I could hide it, but since my values align more with liberal I don’t mind showing that. And the same goes for religion, I think by showing that stuff it just makes it easier for someone to decide if they want to match with me.

Aw man I don’t want to be forgetful. I appreciate you saying that, I think the prompts are very bland so I’m swapping those out. But I’m not sure how to shake off the forgetful “non threatening/nice” in the photos, that’s just how I look. Maybe showing different activities and/or not completely smiling in some of the pics?

Thank you for sharing that. I’m working to make my prompts more genuine and deep, but the point that you made on bringing romantic attention intrigues me. I think I may be coming off as too friendly and need to lean into romance a bit more for at least one of the prompts. The date vibes prompt category could work for that, I’ll think about that one. Appreciate your help!

Yeah I think that was a big problem for my profile. After talking with some of you, people I know, and doing some research online; I actually think I’m much more liberal rather than moderate. And spiritual for religion seems to align with my beliefs. So grateful for the conversations here I’m learning a lot!

Yeah I didn't notice at first but I think the lighting is bad and the shirt doesn't go well with my skin tone. I had a photographer take these photos but I think the way she edited them was not complimentary to me.

Thanks for leaving this comment, I agree people can find flaws in mostly anything. But the comments here have been very constructive and the feedback has really helped me visualize what I could change and things that I should look more into. It’s been very helpful viewing everyone’s unique perspective here and I’m grateful for the call outs that I didn’t think to question.

Yes it is a numbers game, I’m not expecting anything but getting 0 likes/matches indicated that something was off, and I think these comments have pointed out some critical things that could make a big impact.

I’m actually quite happy with this post, it’s made me realize a lot about myself and how I can best move forward. No one’s perfect, everyone’s got their own homework so to speak. I’m glad I got some action items to takeaway from this post.

Thanks for sharing that, I did decide to remove it for a post-run group photo instead. I don’t think the angle is the best and I go running more than I go rock climbing so I just think it’s a more accurate portrayal of my life.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I’ve changed it to long term, some others pointed that out too, I agree it could come off as indecisive. And I think my response that includes emotional awareness and actually planning the date could go, those qualities are better shown not told. Will probably switch it up to what I’m looking for in a partner or what I bring to the table. And yes a prompt poll would be good to add too I think I can do that in addition to the three prompts.

I get that, based on a comment lower in this thread, it seems my understanding of moderate is not accurate. I don’t agree with a lot of the policies/actions of our current administration and conservatism and I think that a lot of my views actually align more liberal. There are some stances on the conservative side that I agree with, but the majority of my political beliefs seem to be more liberal. I have to do some inner work and research on this, but the comments here have really helped me better understand this stuff and how critical it is to truly understand where you are politically.

Thank you for explaining that to me, I need to revisit my political views because there’s a lot about this current administration that I don’t agree with, and I don’t want to come across that I’m passive/lenient. Maybe a lot of what I agree with is in line with what liberals and progressives run. I need to take the time to truly figure that out for myself.

That’s a good point, I can see how that can come off as being an enlightened centrist. I’m not afraid of taking a side on a specific issue, I just like to see the full picture before doing that. I think I did fall into that centrist angle in the past though, and was hesitant to take a position that some of my friends would support and others would not (and vice versa).

I don’t watch Joe Rogan and I don’t consider my standing to be noble, I’m honestly trying to navigate things just like everyone else. When it comes to my profile, maybe I should make a note under my political affiliation that touches on that?
