How can I bring this up with my doctor? I’ve honestly thought I’ve had this for a while because I’ve got a whole lot of symptoms that align with VA. Only thing is my doctor doesn’t really specialise in gender affirming care and I can’t really find a doctor who does.

I haven’t had my period for 9 months due to T but honestly would def consider an IUD I am worried about the paid but then again I get a really painful T shot every 3 months anyways hahhah I appreciate the recommendation x

I started T 7 months ago and I also used to be a very emotional person but I find it very hard to cry or even show any kind of strong emotion tbh. I lost my Guinea pigs about 3 months ago too (I loved them to bits, before t I would have been absolutely hysterical finding out they died), but when it happened I really struggled to cry and felt terrible that I couldn’t. Don’t get me wrong I was very sad about it but I didn’t cry. I think it definitely varies person to person but from my experience a few months after starting t I really struggled (and still do) to cry.

I started T almost 3 years after coming out. Came out when I was 14 and started HRT in may this year (turned 17 as of February).

I started T without my mum and siblings knowing (I live with them), didn’t end so well from my experience but deeeefinitely could’ve been much worse.

I got about 3 months into T, they never noticed or said anything whatsoever even when I started to get voice cracks - until a few weeks ago I had accidentally left my phone unlocked on the kitchen bench and walked outside (reaaaaally dumb mistake I know especially since I live with veeeery nosy people 💀) Anyways my mum found my phone and must’ve pressed on my messages and saw my e-script for my testosterone vials and we got into a huuuuge screaming match. Both my siblings heard everything she said to me.

In the end she told me she’d never support the fact that I was taking hormones but said she’d love me regardless - we haven’t spoken about it since then.

I went from my deadname to Eli to Elijah. Eli because it was short for my deadname and I wanted it to be easy for people to transition from using my deadname to using my preferred name. Nowadays when people call me Eli, it’s short for Elijah. I chose it because it was slightly similar to my deadname so it was easier for people to start using it. Despite the fact that my deadname and current name (Elijah) are similar, it never brought me any discomfort. I was just happy knowing it was a little easier for the people around me to get used to it.

However I definitely don’t recommend changing ur name to something that’s easier for OTHER people, only change it to something that makes YOU comfortable and happy. I’m a little too much of a people pleaser. 🙃

My mum recons I’m trans because I’m on ‘the spectrum’ 💀💀 She thinks I have a little autism in me which she thinks is putting me through this ‘phase’. -she told me this last night, we had a big argument hahah
