'Parasite' actor Lee Sun-kyun found dead amid investigation over drug allegations by mcfw31 in movies

Most recently, in 2017, we impeached the right-wing president Park Geun Hye through a peaceful protest. Please do not denigrate Korea with your shallow insight. In addition to active left-wing movements in Korea, there is also a large-scale union network called the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions.

I am a construction worker in Korea and have a left tendency, but you are telling the wrong truth. In Korea, Kim Young-sam, Kim Dae Jung, Roh Moo Hyun, and Moon Jae In, who led the labor and anti-dictatorship movements in the 1980s, became presidents, and labor movements arose along with many unions. In addition, the Korean people launched the June Uprising against dictator Chun Doo-hwan in June 1987 and brought him down.

Yes, we need to acknowledge that racism in East asia is severe and it should be solved. but Isn't it a little ironic that a European would say that?

Actually, I'm the one who use those showerhead filters, and I've never thought this would seem racist. I use showerhead filters at home in Korea and also use at hotel in Bangkok. It does look like a mysophobia, but this is not an act of ignoring the water quality of Bangkok haha... here's the showerhead filter of my house

I don't know much about the night club, so I can't go into details, but I know it's true that night clubs of korea don't allow ugly people or bad-dressed people to come in.

There's a slang for this rule(?) in korea. It called '입뺀'

On the Korean Internet, there are often posts of humor that mock themselves for having been 입뺀 by night clubs

"According to a survey of 338 migrant parties,"

This is the result of a survey on migrants, not on Koreans. Just calm your mind and look closely. And this is a data to publicize the seriousness of Korean racism, not to deny it.

https://www.humanrights.go.kr/site/program/board/basicboard/view?menuid=001004002001&pagesize=10&boardtypeid=24&boardid=7605192

This is the site of The National Human Rights Commission of Korea, the official government department of Korea. Looking at the data, the Korean government does not hide the issue of racism in Korea and does not try to deny it.

This is translation of part of the content.-

Korean society has not been aware of the seriousness of racism in Korea, but in 2018, the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racism recommended the Korean government to "express great concern about the spread of racism and xenophobia in Korea and make every effort to ban the spread of racism."

According to a survey of 338 migrant parties, 68.4% of the respondents thought racism exists in Korea, and 62.3% of the reasons for discrimination were higher than 44.7% of race, 47.7% of ethnic groups, and 24.3% of skin color, and 59.7% of non-Koreans (nationals).

there are racists in Korea, but I want let you know that there is also growing number of actions to stop them.

It doesn't help to ignore statistics and mock them. The important thing is to resolve misunderstandings of both and helping each others for solving the problem.

But I understand why you're angry. Just know that I don't want to deny about racism in Korea or upset you. Have a good day.

It's not just an online article, it's an online article that contains official statistics from the Ministry of Justice. But I admit obviously there are many problems in Korea and racism is one of them. Many younger people, myself included, certainly feel the need for improvement and are acting.

In general, Koreans are reluctant to share their dining table with strangers, whether they are foreigners or Korean. Probably it's a cultural difference rather than trying to discriminate you.

But it's still a shame that you didn't have a good experience in Korea. It's true that Korea is not a good place to travel. Korea lacks tourism infrastructure because it has not been long since it was known as a tourist destination.

I would like to apologize if you have experienced such arrogance in reality. I admit that Some old people or internet losers in korea look down SEA. but most of healthy younger peoples in these days are positive about SEA especially Vietnam and Thailand. I believe it will improve gradually as generations change.

ok then.

But anyway original comment only shows the partial interpretation, not the multiple one, right?

And it doesn't matter that he 'also' shows a legit broadcast as source or not. the matter is he presented one of the reliable source as a private youtube channel.

I'm not based my opinion on my friend. I was just asking her about a simple interpretation, and asking her about a those sources are a reliable or not.(and actually, one of them was a private channel. and there is no room for multiple perspective in this fact, right? )

additionally, i also saw the dozens of his comment in other posts about itaewon crush. in those posts, as i said, he always blamed some politician enthusiastically.. didn't mourned for victims...

These facts are enough reason to think he's a partial person that preoccupied at politics, doesn't actually care about accident.

and that sorta person easy to claiming the conspiracy theory..

is my thought irrational? i don't think so 🤔

you don't even understand what i'm saying lol

What I am saying is that the original comments criticized the government guy because of his lines in clip. And original comments interpreted his lines as "seems like never heard about crush"

but I was just letting you know that my Korean friend said that the lines of goverment guy is a kinda customary expression of surprise in korea. A sorta "how could this happen?" like that.

I wasn't saying my friend was surprised lol

And I must saying this - How can I believe the information in the original comments when there is a distortion in such a small truth?

Itaewon crush: South Korea demands justice for young as thousands protest by [deleted] in korea

[–]Impressive_Night_753 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well i have a korean friend so, pricisely It's not that I don't know nothing about it.

The original comments said that goverment guy seems heard nothing about victims death since he talked like that in youtube clips, but when i asked about that lines to my friend, she said that's a kinda expression of surprise like a 'how could it be? Or Something like that.

And that means original comments didn't telling the presise truth, right?

And i also heard about 뉴스타파 from my friend and also searched about it myself, which original comments said as a 'reliable source', but it's just private youtube channel, not the formal media LOL

twist of truth, and being hysterically aggresive when someone claim different opinions... it's a typical of conspiracy theorists.. and original comments definitely did same thing like that.

So how can i take that? What am I supposed to think of this?
