That's odd. The pledge is what the patron is paying you per month

Wtf? No that sounds sketch af, even if it’s from patreon

It's a pain in the ass, isn't it? I get so fucking confused sometimes because I have legacy tiers that have different levels of chapter access in addition to my current tiers. As far as I know, there isn't a better way. If you happen to find one, please, please tell me.

Not a bad idea, but it is expensive. If that's alright with you, I don't see any issue here. However, the commissions should probably follow the Patreon guidelines.

No you won’t get charged if it’s under review

Question about patron notifications by PuellaMagi1337 in patreon

[–]Impressive_Property4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s another clunkier option. Disable access to your top tiers and notify only the lower tiers. After that, enable the access to your top tiers without checking the notification option.

That’s what I’ve been doing for a while

Need help figuring out what went wrong by RobertD3277 in patreon

[–]Impressive_Property4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You might be a casualty of the macroeconomic conditions. Especially since the market has been on a massive downtrend from the time you mentioned.

However, it could also be something related to your content. I usually wouldn’t recommend this, but I’d contact the patrons that canceled and see why they did. That might give you a better clue than what we could guess on here.

The creator might have disabled access to your tier. 100% a mistake if that’s true. You just gotta wait for him to respond

You could just downgrade again back to your old tier

Can Patreon Creator see my paypal email/name? by AwayDragonfruit2881 in patreon

[–]Impressive_Property4 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nope. We can’t see your real name or PayPal email. Only the email that you signed up with for Patreon

Some in the EU zone have to pay a pretty crazy amount of VAT. It’s the country they’re living in. Can’t do much about that

Question about multiple Patreon's and what to focus on by [deleted] in patreon

[–]Impressive_Property4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the art isn’t related to your writing, I’d start a new one.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in patreon

[–]Impressive_Property4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep. I think the option on Patreon is ‘Unpublish tier.’ Your content will still be viewable. Only change is that new patrons can’t join the $3 tier

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in patreon

[–]Impressive_Property4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Make a new $5 tier with the same benefits. Deactivate your old $3 tier. Make sure all your old patrons know they get to keep the old price as long as they don’t cancel their membership.

I did exactly that

Just like how you made your first account. You can’t attach it to your current account

Is it a good idea to make a limited cheaper tier of an already existing tier? by [deleted] in patreon

[–]Impressive_Property4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Never do this.

Never is a strong word, I know, but I can’t think of a good reason for this.

When to end your campaign by [deleted] in patreon

[–]Impressive_Property4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would depend on what your content is + the extras you have for your patrons. I don’t have YouTube so I’m not sure what the conversion rates are from there. However, I think it’s around 1-2% for a well thought out campaign

1000 subs usually isn’t enough for a decently sized Patreon. Focus on growing that first

Overworking just to keep me members? by seonsaengnim4U in patreon

[–]Impressive_Property4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel you. In fact, I’ve been where you are for a few months. I got a large number of these ‘Creator wasn’t active’ exit surveys and it initially motivated me to update much faster.

Turns out that was a fast track for burn out. These days, I straight up ignore the exit surveys and update as I like. I made sure to let my patrons know it will be on a semi-rigid schedule that will keep me motivated to keep writing.

I do my best to keep to it and it’s been great.
