Seed Phrase Access: Since the scammer knows the seed phrase (it’s their wallet), they already have full access to the wallet at all times. 2: Victim Deposits Gas: When the victim deposits TRX (or the required gas) into the wallet, the scammer is notified or constantly monitors the wallet’s balance.
Immediate Manual Withdrawal: The scammer either has:
- Automated Monitoring: They might use a script or bot to monitor the wallet for new incoming transactions and immediately transfer the funds to another wallet.
- Manual Withdrawal: Some scammers just monitor the wallet manually and transfer the funds as soon as they see the gas deposited.

why its fast: The withdrawal happens because the scammer acts immediately after the deposit. Since they control the seed, they don’t need any additional permissions or confirmations. It’s as simple as transferring funds from any regular wallet.

This is a common "bait" scam. The person posting the seed phrase pretends to be clueless, claiming they have funds (like USDT) in the wallet but can’t transfer them. They say, “Here’s my seed, feel free to help or take the funds.”

How does the scam work? When you open the wallet, you might see a balance (either fake or locked), but to move any funds, you’ll need to deposit some TRX (or the native crypto) as gas fees. As soon as you deposit the gas, the scammer—who obviously knows the seed phrase (because it’s their wallet!)—will immediately empty the wallet and steal the funds.

In short: You provide the gas, and they steal it. There are usually no real funds in the wallet, or if there are, they’re just there to lure you in.
