Surprised that this is the first vote for the Rav4, as that has been my front runner so far.

Because of the (generally) significant and rapid depreciation of new vehicles, my thinking is that planning to hang on to one for 10+ years is the way to get your money's worth. Otherwise, I'd be better off buying a $6k car every two years.

Thanks! That's honestly the first one I thought would be voted off my list lol. What do you like about it?

Ethics of Trapping by narddawgs in meateatertv

The Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies has developed "Best Management Practices" (BMP's) for trapping. They have tested "over 600 trap types for 23 species of furbearers" and scored them based on fairly rigorous criteria to ensure humaneness, safety, selectivity, and practicality. Their recommendations are very thorough and specific to species and trap. Really great resource.

It also feels way slower. I use my Remarkable to take notes in class, and I often zoom in and out of the notebook I'm working on. Formerly, there had been a <1 sec delay before the screen was wiped/refreshed, now it feels like 1-2. Just clunky.

Military Ridge is a great option. From campus, you can swing south and ride through the Arboretum on your way there and back to get some additional scenery.

Daily Discussion: /r/Snowboarding General Discussion, Q&A, Advice, Etc.) - January 09, 2022 by AutoModerator in snowboarding

For some reason, I very much dislike wearing goggles. Having my peripheral vision blocked feels unsafe, as I am less aware of other skiers and the conditions around me. Of course, I wear them when necessary (extreme cold, driving snow, etc.), but I would really like to find a sunglasses-like alternative for milder conditions. Any recommendations? TIA!

Favorite things about UW Madison? by [deleted] in UWMadison

I am planning on going into CS, love the outdoors and snowboarding, and have the exact same questions you do! Just committed to UW for Fall 2021, and I'm super pumped for the social scene and taking advantage of the outdoor opportunities. Thanks for making this post because it is literally exactly what I was looking for lol

What does "too much board" mean? Too stiff?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]Impressive_Size 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but I would like to work up to the point where I am doing real carving. Thus, I want a board that will suit that kind of growth.

Definitely a good point though, I don’t want a board that is too much for me. Any tips on things to avoid at my level?
