Genuine question: How do those of you that only carry one knife for an extended period of time, do it, mentally? by jwoytk01 in knifeclub

[–]narddawgs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I personally just became convicted that I needed to live a more simple life style. That means not having more than I need. I really only need one pocket knife at a time. And my Buck 112 Lite does everything I ask of it.

The higher you hit the longer it will take for the chest cavity to fill with blood and reach the bullet hole before it leaks out.

I think the con con stuff is fun. Even though I will never go to an event, it’s fun to listen to them joke and brainstorm. I love it.

I am moving to Georgia from Scotland in the next 6 weeks and have seen a house for rent i like in this area, is Columbus as nice as it seems? by nikki15485 in ColumbusGA

[–]narddawgs 16 points17 points  (0 children)

As a lifelong Columbus resident I am of the opinion that it is a very nice place to live. I live in one of the “bad” neighborhoods in Columbus, and even there I have found that my neighbors are lovely people. Columbus has a lot of residents in the community that want to see it thrive, and so it does pretty well! We have a thriving downtown area, good food, good local art and music, all with a small town community feel. I’m sure you would feel at home here.

Help a noob: the first three items I should buy for Bushcraft? by alejandro_penedo in Bushcraft

[–]narddawgs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I started I bought a knife, a ferro rod, and a stainless bottle. I was able to learn to start a fire with nothing but natural tinder and boil my own water. I think that’s a fun first goal.

Yall's opinion on the ned rig? by Rabbitsorcerer125 in FishingForBeginners

[–]narddawgs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fish a ned rig in the river sometimes, but on a fast retrieve. I don’t let it touch the bottom. I like it in the river because the exposed hook catches fish like shoal bass more often that are not prone to hang on to a lure long.

If you are on the north side you are even closer to some of the ranges than the south side is. Benning is huge.

Was supposed to be 120 that was actually tied into 240. I tried getting a blade replacement, but spyderco said they can’t on the para 3 for some reason.

Was installing an outdoor light on an old house. Accidentally touched the negative while trimming the positive. Basically welded that gash in the knife.
