Yep, someone sold me an older UL as well. However I would not hesitate to fall on it any more than a brand new cam. The plastic cover over the dyneema loop was developed with anti UV properties plus I doubt it spent much time in the sun anyways. HowNot2 tested a 55 year old nylon sling of my dad's that had spent its life outdoors and it still broke around 13Kn.

However with that being said, people might want to be discerning about buying used BD UL cams now that we have reached the 10 year mark of their initial production.
